Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Skreba Reijonen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Adam Ash (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 9 - 6 - 2, fighting out of Helsinki, Skreba Reijonen!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 17 - 13 - 1, fighting out of New York, Adam Ash!
The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, and Timothy Bukovac.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ash rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Reijonen moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Reijonen blocks a jab.
Ash has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Reijonen.

Ash moves into range and clinches up with Reijonen.

Reijonen's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Reijonen throws a body kick but he wasn't in range.
Ash misses with a shot to the body
and Reijonen counters with a body kick.
Reijonen showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Ash.
A counter left hand to the body from Reijonen misses its target.
Ash is looking to clinch but Reijonen is avoiding it.
Reijonen cracks Ash with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.
A left lands for Reijonen.
A clash of legs there as Ash blocks the low kick.
Ash tries to clinch but Reijonen moves out of range.
Ash misses with a low kick.
Reijonen throws a series of punches but Ash avoids them all with ease.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Reijonen walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.
A nice inside leg kick there by Reijonen. That's going to slow Ash down.

Reijonen rushes Ash and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.

Reijonen lands with a light punch inside.
Ash is working hard here but doesn't seem to be able to control effectively, up against the cage.

Ash breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Reijonen throws a leg kick that misses.
A looping hook to the body misses from Reijonen. Ash does a little dance to reset his feet.
Skreba Reijonen is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Ash goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.

We've been told by Reijonen's head coaches at KO Gym that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.
Ash tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Reijonen lands a kick to the ribs of his opponent. Nice work there - in and out in a flash.
A bone on bone clash there as Ash blocks the leg kick.

Ash looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it.

It looks like Adam Ash has been cut.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Ash throws a shot from downtown. Reijonen moves away and avoids it.
A punch lands to the side of Reijonen 's head but he takes it in his stride.
A left and a right from Ash both land. Nice combination.
Ash moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.
Ash fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Ash, as that shot connected.
Ash connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head.
Ash connects with a looping right hand.
Ash shoots in for a double leg but Reijonen sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Ash is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Reijonen lands a head kick!
Reijonen throws a solid leg kick but Ash takes the impact on his shin and smiles at Reijonen.
Ash throws an overhand right that lands on Reijonen's shoulder, as Reijonen tries to avoid the shot.
Ash shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Reijonen pinned against the cage. Reijonen gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

Reijonen will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.
Ash throws a right hand that Reijonen ducks under and follows up with a left that Reijonen also avoids with ease.
Reijonen lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Ash circles away quickly and effectively.
Ash misses with a hook
and Reijonen counters with a body kick that stops Ash in his tracks momentarily.
Reijonen connects with a looping right hand.
Reijonen takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt.
Ash throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Reijonen.
Reijonen is looking to counter punch.
Reijonen throws a quick inside leg kick.
An inside leg kick from Ash misses.
Ash throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Ash keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.
Ash ducks under a wild hook from Reijonen.

Skreba Reijonen has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Adam Ash.

Ash moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.
Reijonen throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.

Ash has managed to clinch.

Reijonen breaks from the clinch.
Ash throws a hook but Reijonen avoids it easily.
Ash moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination.
A solid body kick from Reijonen.
Ash throws a series of strikes that have Reijonen backpedaling.
Reijonen defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Ash.
Ash throws an off balance right hand
and Reijonen counters with a left to the body.
Reijonen lands with a hook. Ash tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.
The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Ash walks into a left hand.
Reijonen explodes with a nice body kick and back out of range. Nice work.
Jab, jab by Ash - just one landing.
Reijonen with a jab.
Ash tries to close the distance and clinch up but Reijonen swats him away and circles back towards the center.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Skreba Reijonen will probably get the nod.
The cut man is working on Adam Ash's cut.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.


Reijonen changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.
A clash of legs there as Ash blocks the low kick.
Ash tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Reijonen manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Ash scores with a decent looking hook.
Ash throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Reijonen listening to his corner there, landing a nice uppercut.
Ash displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Reijonen throws out the jab.
Ash misses with a double jab.

Reijonen throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
A little jabbing left from Ash on the counter but it doesn't find it's target.

Skreba Reijonen is winning the standup battle so far.
Ash scores with a nice strike.
Reijonen bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Ash stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Reijonen.

Ash is rocked!
Ash walks straight into a right hand from Reijonen - that's dropped him! Reijonen jumps into mount and starts pounding away - can he finish?! More strikes go undefended and the referee has to dive in to save Ash from any more punishment! Ash complains about the stoppage but falls over as he tries to stand back up, so it was clearly a good stoppage.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:21 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punches). Skreba Reijonen!
A relieved looking Skreba Reijonen thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
