The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kana wants to clinch up but Toguchi keeps it at a distance.
And Toguchi tries to counter it with a takedown but Kana pushes his down on his head and steps out.
Kana tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Kana throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Horrible takedown attempt by Toguchi or perhaps it was just good defense by Kana, which made it look bad.

Toguchi is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Kana's half guard.
Kana is trying to escape back to his feet but Toguchi uses the scramble to pass into side control.
Kana can't do much from the bottom here.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Toguchi is cranking Kana's head sideways - that looks painful. He's managed to get his other arm under the chin and this looks bad for Kana! He's tightened the choke and Kana is tapping out!
