Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Calgary Alberta (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Brownie Anderson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Alberta moves in looking to clinch but Anderson pushes him off.

Alberta closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Alberta blocks a couple of punches on the inside.
Anderson has Alberta pressed against the cage, preventing Alberta from circling away and getting back to striking at range.
Anderson lands with a short punch from the clinch.
Nice elbow from Anderson.

It looks like Calgary Alberta has been cut.
Alberta wants to break the clinch but can't.
Alberta throws a knee to the head but misses.
Anderson throws an elbow but it's blocked.
Alberta wants to get back to striking at distance but Anderson won't allow it.
Alberta drops down looking for an ankle pick but Anderson pulls his leg out and moves away.
Alberta with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Anderson to score with a decent uppercut.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Alberta wants to clinch
and Anderson makes him pay by landing a thudding low kick.
Anderson with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
Alberta chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Anderson can pounce on him.
Anderson lands with a hook. Alberta tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.

Alberta looks to score with a jab to the body but Anderson is just out of range.

Calgary Alberta's cut is bleeding quite badly. He's got to try and protect it.
Alberta is trying to break the clinch but Anderson is controlling him.

Anderson tries to land a knee to the head but Alberta blocks with his arms.

Anderson manages to get underhooks and slows down the pace for a moment.

Alberta has dropped down and is working for a takedown. Anderson is trying to keep an underhook but Alberta manages to get the takedown into half guard.

Anderson has managed to escape just enough to sneak back to his feet but Alberta is on him like a limpet, forcing Anderson back against the cage.
Alberta tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Anderson smiles and moves away.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Calgary Alberta. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Alberta is looking to clinch but Anderson is avoiding it.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Anderson, as that shot connected.
Calgary Alberta seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Alberta on the wrong end of a kick to the body.
Alberta takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
A solid leg kick lands there for Anderson.

Anderson clinches up with Alberta and pushes him back against the cage.

A very excited looking Brownie Anderson rambled incoherently for about 5 minutes post fight about how awesome he is. It was kinda funny for a while but then everyone got annoyed.
