Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Fyodor Pending (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bruce Lee (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Fyodor Pending has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 46 - 69 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Fyodor Pending!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 10 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Bruce Lee!
The judges for this bout are George Francis, Robert Twigg and Stewart Dunkirk.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
We've got one fighter who appears to only be looking to counter and the other not looking particularly aggressive either, so we could be in for a dull fight.
Pending avoids a punch combination nicely.

Lee has managed to clinch.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Lee tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage.
Lee misses with the head strike.
Lee lands a right hand that snaps the head of Pending backwards.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Lee wants to get back to striking at distance but Pending won't allow it.
Lee makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut.
Pending blocking some punches.

Lee escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.
Lee misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Pending crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Lee - the referee stops the clock and Pending gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Lee. Pending manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.
Lee scores with a head kick. Pending tried to block it but didn't get his arm up in time.
We've been hearing reports that Pending has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight.
Lee throws a head kick that half lands.

Lee lands a high kick!
Lee tries a head kick but it misses.
Pending takes a head kick and keeps coming.

Lee has closed the distance and engaged Pending in a clinch.

Lee breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Lee connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Pending momentarily.
Lee looks to land a combination. Pending sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.
Jab, cross, leg kick. Nice combination by Lee!
Pending could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Lee tries to clinch but Pending is having none of it.
It appears Pending was looking to counter with a kick there.

Lee throws a sloppy head kick

and Pending counters with a nice double leg into guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Pending wants to pass the guard but Lee is keeping the position.
Lee wants to stand and escape but Pending is having none of it.
Pending trying to control but Lee is working from the bottom.

Lee wriggles free and stands up.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Lee connects with a nice looking jab.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Bruce Lee dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.


Lee throws a combination. Pending tries to block but a couple of punches get through.
Lee moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.
Lee tests Pending's chin there with a solid looking shot.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Lee throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Pending tries to counter by clinching up but Lee breaks away and moves out of range.
Bruce Lee seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Pending walks into a left hand.

Lee shoots in but no luck this time.
Pending swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect.
Lee scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!
Lee lands a head kick. Pending smiles back at him and beckons him forward.
A good leg kick by Lee.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Lee darts in and out, connecting with a jab.
Pending walks forward, straight into a front kick from Lee.
Fyodor Pending is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Lee tries a head kick but it misses.
Lee will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Lee lands a head kick!
Lee has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Lee lands with a slapping head kick.

Lee looks to land a combination. Pending sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.
Lee misses with a head kick.
As Lee tries to get set, Pending tries to push him back and clinch up but Lee manages to avoid the attempt.
Bruce Lee seems to be getting the better of the standup.
Lee throws a feint and then finishes with a kick to the body.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Lee tries a head kick but it misses.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Bruce Lee showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!

Lee tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.

Pending gets tackled into the cage by Lee. Lee maintains the clinch.

Lee throws a head punch that misses.
A head punch on the inside from Lee fails to land.

Pending gets a nice trip takedown into half guard.

Pending is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.
Pending stops Lee from getting back to his feet.

Pending is keen to just control but Lee is a slippery customer.
Lee pushes Pending off looking to stand but Pending dives back in and keeps control.

Lee is defending against the submission attempts here by Pending.
Lee wants to get back to his feet.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

Pending is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Lee doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Pending.

Pending is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Lee sees it coming and defends easily.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Lee tries to kick Pending off but Pending keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Pending is looking for a kimura here.
Lee is trying to stand back up but Pending is controlling him

Pending looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Pending stops Lee from getting back to his feet.

Pending is trying for a kimura here. Lee looks like he's in a lot of pain... and he's tapping out! Pending wins by kimura!
