Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Quintin Day (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jiro Fukui (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jiro Fukui will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Quintin Day! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Jiro Fukui! The judges for this bout are Yuuki Gou, Tatsuya Matsuyama and Yasuomi Hirokawa.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Fukui lands with a shot to the body. Fukui throws a nice looking combination but Day bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Fukui misses with a double jab.
Fukui bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Day's head. Day tries to keep at a distance but Fukui has taken the fight into the clinch. Fukui has Day pressed against the cage, preventing Day from circling away and getting back to striking at range. Fukui missing with knees to the body.
Fukui keeps control of Day as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks. Day is trying to force a seperation but Fukui has the dominant position. Fukui tries to work over Day's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target. Day keeps control of Fukui as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Fukui keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Day's efforts to push away. Fukui tries to break the clinch but Day is controlling the position. Fukui is trying to drag Day to the mat but Day just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there. Day breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
That's one minute gone in the round. Fukui lunges at Day with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Day's hand. Fukui lands with a good body shot. Fukui looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Sloppy strikes from Fukui. Those never looked like landing. Day fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Fukui gets in close and instigates a clinch. Day has Fukui pressed against the cage, preventing Fukui from circling away and getting back to striking at range. Day wants to break the clinch but can't.
Day tries to break free but Fukui pushes him back against the cage. Fukui throws a nice elbow but it doesn't land.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Day breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Fukui has managed to clinch.
Day is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage. Fukui softening up his opponent with strikes, against the cage. Day wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.

Day tries for a takedown but Fukui circles away easily and Fukui counters by moving into the clinch. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Fukui has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate. Day has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Fukui avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Quintin Day. That's going to take a lot out of him. Fukui jumps guard but Day turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing. Fukui manages to get underhooks and slows down the pace for a moment.
Day wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.

Fukui is trying to break the clinch but Day has him pressed against the cage. Fukui lands a nice shot to the body. Day wants to break free but Fukui has control.
Day tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Fukui's elbow. Fukui's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Fukui misses with a body shot.
Fukui lands with a nice body punch. Fukui rushes Day with punches - Day moves straight backwards instead of circling and gets clipped by the second strike... and the third... and the fourth! Oh, Day goes down! Fukui follows up with more strikes and the ref steps in to end the bout!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:40 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Jiro Fukui!
