The fighters circle momentarily. Beaumont darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.
The fight stays on the outside here - Diaz looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

Diaz closes the distance and clinches up with Beaumont, looking for a takedown. Diaz pushes Beaumont against the cage but Beaumont circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Joey Diaz. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Beaumont gets in close and tags Diaz with a short punch that almost sends Diaz to the mat! Oh Diaz is in big trouble! He turns his back on Beaumont, trying to create some distance but Beaumont rushes him, striking wildly and Diaz goes down! The referee tackles Beaumont into the cage to end the fight! Beaumont is one violent man!
