Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Hyashi Hayakawa (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ronald Griffin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Hyashi Hayakawa! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Ronald Griffin! The judges for this bout are Lou da Vinci, Alyssa Summers and Jorge Garcia.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Griffin looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Hayakawa is fending him off so far but Griffin persists. Nope, Hayakawa circles away and we're back to standing. Hayakawa gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Griffin to score an easy takedown into full guard. Hayakawa wants to get back to his feet but Griffin passes into half guard.
Hayakawa has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Griffin is working away from the top position though. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Griffin tries to stand and escape but Hayakawa is controlling the position.

Hayakawa is in a tricky position. We've heard reports from his gym mates at V C L training center (HOME OF THE TRUE CHAMPION that he's been drilling escapes, so let's see if he can get back to his feet. Griffin prevents Hayakawa from improving his position. Griffin tries to stand but can't do so whilst Hayakawa controls his leg. Hayakawa is trying to control but Griffin passes into side control!
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Hayakawa is trying to control Griffin's posture but Griffin avoids it. Hayakawa is trying to improve his position. Griffin tries to get to his feet but he's trapped momentarily.
The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity. Griffin dives in and grabs Hayakawa's left leg, looking for a takedown. Hayakawa pushes down on Griffin's head and hops out. Nice takedown defense from Hayakawa. No joy for Griffin on that attempt. Hyashi Hayakawa has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Ronald Griffin. Griffin darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard. Griffin wants to stand up but Hayakawa has a hold of him and won't allow it.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Hayakawa tries to get to full guard but Griffin has control of the leg. Hayakawa flails away from the bottom but he's not doing any damage.
The fighters are battling for position here. Hayakawa manages to regain full guard. Nice work. Hayakawa is trying to control the position but Griffin postures up. Hayakawa on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Hayakawa tries to get out of the position. It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Hayakawa is looking for a triangle but Griffin pushes his legs off easily.
The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet. Griffin throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Hayakawa tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Griffin is in Hayakawa's guard. Hayakawa is looking to stand back up but Griffin counters by passing into half guard. Oops... bit sloppy there by Hayakawa. Hayakawa trying to keep hold of his opponent's head but Griffin manages to pass to mount!
Hayakawa reaches up to try and control the position but Griffin seems to have an arm triangle now! Uh oh! Hayakawa rolls and tries to escape and now Griffin has his back!
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Hayakawa trying to control the position but Griffin manages to sink in the hooks. Griffin controlling well, preventing Hayakawa from escaping the position.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Griffin shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Hayakawa manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage. My spies in Holding Cell inform me that Griffin has been getting involved in the gym's BJJ sparring sessions. Let's see whether that pays dividends! Hayakawa trying to strike from the bottom but really, it's not the best position to be doing that from! Griffin wants to stand but Hayakawa has a closed guard, so he can't escape. The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet. Griffin scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground. Hayakawa manages to escape and get back to his feet! Griffin dives in and grabs Hayakawa's left leg, looking for a takedown. Hayakawa pushes down on Griffin's head and hops out. Griffin fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Hayakawa to the ground. Griffin is now in Hayakawa's guard. Hayakawa controls Griffin momentarily but Griffin frees himself. Griffin won't allow Hayakawa to sweep him here.

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Hayakawa has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Griffin is working away from the top position though. Hayakawa is concentrating on defense, preventing Griffin from advancing position. Griffin passes into side control, despite Hayakawa's attempt to control the position.

Hayakawa stops Griffin from standing up. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. That's two minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Hayakawa keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
Griffin manages to capitalize on a mistake by Hayakawa to take his back! A bit of a pause in the action here. Griffin controlling the positon. Griffin wants to stand back up. Hayakawa trying to control the position but Griffin manages to sink in the hooks.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Griffin is hanging on to Hayakawa's back as he tries to escape.
Griffin is looking to stand but he's in a difficult position to do so. Hyashi Hayakawa has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Hayakawa is in bad spot here.
Ronald Griffin has got the better of the ground game so far. Hayakawa looks to control his opponent's hands but he's not mananging it at the moment. Griffin can't escape the position, to get back to his feet. Ronald Griffin is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.

Griffin gets back to his feet from a dominant position... quite strange. Griffin shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Hayakawa napping and manages to drive through into side control! Hayakawa wants to get back to his feet but Griffin is dominant here and he's now got Hayakawa's back! Hayakawa trying to control but he's just got himself in more trouble. Hayakawa prevents his opponent from getting back to his feet. I really don't envy Hayakawa right now.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
And that's the end of the fight! Ronald Griffin comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I've got Griffin winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
