Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Tyson Smith!
The judges for this bout are , Timothy Bukovac and Jack Bonds.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Smith ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Barrera moves away.
Smith wants to clinch
and Barrera counters with a nice double leg into guard.
Barrera postures up and lands some nice ground and pound.
Smith really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Barrera. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Smith controls Barrera momentarily but Barrera frees himself.
Smith is looking to stand up but Barrera isn't so interested in that idea.
Smith looking for subs off his back but Barrera has passed one foot through into half guard.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Smith can do anything to dispel that myth.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Smith on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound.

Barrera is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Smith has managed to free his arm - good work.
Barrera seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Smith does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
Smith tries to get to full guard but Barrera has control of the leg.
Barrera lands strikes from half guard.
Smith is looking for a sweep. Barrera is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Barrera is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.

Smith has hold of Barrera's hands but Barrera slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.
Still in half guard, Barrera seems content to control.

Barrera will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Barrera moves into side control, avoiding a weak kimura attempt from Smith.
Smith looking for a sweep but Barrera has passed into full mount! Oh no!

Barrera lands a couple of nice shots there from mount.
Barrera has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Barrera really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Barrera looking to isolate an arm here. Smith doesn't see it coming and as Barrera extends the arm, he's forced to tap out! Nice submission by Barrera!
