Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Abed Nadir (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Joe Ruden (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Nadir comes to the ring accompanied by M.A.S.H Theme. Joe Ruden told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

14 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Joe Ruden!
The judges for this bout are Illya Tyunina, Igor Prikhodko and Sergei Dronov.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nadir keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Ruden.
Nadir throws a front kick aimed at Ruden's knee but Ruden avoids it well.
Nadir closes the distance and pushes Ruden back into the ropes.
A quick uppercut on the inside from Nadir.
Ruden takes a knee right on the jaw!
It looks like Joe Ruden has been cut.
Nadir scores with a nice hook to the head.
Nadir is trying to slow down the pace in the clinch, to catch his breath.
Ruden manages to break the clinch.
Nadir misses with a low kick as Ruden jumps back.
Ruden takes a body kick right on the floating rib. Ouchie.
Oooh a lovely combination from Nadir sends Ruden down but not out. Nadir dives into side control looking to finish.
Ruden is rocked!
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Nadir looking to punish the body of his opponent here but Ruden is avoiding damage well.
Nadir scores with a couple of nice shots to the head there. The referee takes a look at Ruden to see if he's OK.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.

Ruden is trying to control Nadir's posture but Nadir avoids it.
Nadir tries to land with some ground and pound but misses.
Ruden tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Nadir wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.

Nadir is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Ruden has escaped the position, nice work there.

Ruden is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Nadir's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Nadir's back!

Ruden is persistently looking for the submission but Nadir is defending it well.

Nadir manages to reverse the position and now he's in Ruden's guard. Nice work there by Nadir.

Nadir is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Ruden is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Ruden has escaped and now he's on top!
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Ruden wants to control from the top but Nadir keeps moving.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Ruden accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Ruden missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
Ruden is looking to advance position but Nadir has hit a scissor sweep - now he's on top in mount!
That's three minutes gone in the round.

That has opened up Joe Ruden's cut even more.
The referee calls the doctor in to look at Joe Ruden's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:30 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Cut). Abed Nadir!
