Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 9 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Leigh Adams!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Shifty McShady!
The judges for this bout are Steve Erwin, Ben Hemmingworth and Donatello Bradman.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Adams throws a left and a right that both miss

so McShady counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.

Adams kicks McShady off and gets to his feet.

Adams shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. McShady manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
McShady is trying to keep Adams in close.
Adams throws a big elbow that misses.
McShady is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Adams definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Adams throws a big right hand that misses.
Adams stopping the sweep attempt from McShady.
Adams is looking to work some ground and pound but McShady has wrist control.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Adams controls from within his opponent's guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
McShady preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.
Adams throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.
Adams scoring with punches to the head and body.
McShady is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Adams won't allow McShady to get back to his feet.

McShady is scooting his butt against the cage and has managed to get back to his feet. Adams presses him back against the cage, presumably looking to take the fight back to the mat.

Adams escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
McShady throws a series of punches but Adams moves out of range.
McShady tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Adams swivels and escapes.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
McShady misses with a double jab.

Adams fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. McShady sprawls well initially but Adams persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Adams is nestled in close to McShady, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
McShady has hold of Adams's hands but Adams slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.
Adams working over McShady with some ground and pound. McShady looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable.
McShady keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.
Adams is keen to just control but McShady is a slippery customer.
Adams thows a huge punch but McShady dodges it nicely.
McShady is trying to control but can't.
Adams missing with the ground and pound from half guard.
McShady is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
McShady has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Adams is working away from the top position though.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Adams missing with some ground and pound from the half guard.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Adams lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.
McShady wants to get back to his feet.
McShady trying to hold on to Adams's head to control him but Adams postures up.
Adams slips a nice elbow through McShady's hands, connecting with McShady's forehead.
Adams lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt.
Adams sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. McShady defending well though.
McShady is trying to maintain the position but Adams is very close to passing his half guard.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Adams missing with the ground and pound from half guard.
Adams winds up and cracks McShady with a swinging punch to the side of the head.
Adams not landing any meaningful shots this time.
Adams looks to land a strike but McShady avoids it nicely and regains full guard.
Adams has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
Adams trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
McShady not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Adams throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.
Adams works over McShady with some ground and pound from guard.
Adams trying to control the position from guard on top but McShady is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Leigh Adams dominated that round.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!


Adams fails to land with a series of punches.
A little jabbing left from McShady on the counter but it doesn't find it's target.
McShady closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.
Adams tries to clinch up.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Adams, as that shot connected.
Adams has a takedown stuffed.

Oooooh!!! Adams has knocked McShady down with a huge combo! Adams steps away and waves a wobbly McShady back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!


McShady is rocked!


It looks like Shifty McShady has been cut.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Adams fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
McShady doesn't fully commit to the body shot counter.
McShady showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Adams.
McShady walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.
McShady is still on wobbly legs! Can Adams finish him?
McShady gets caught by a big overhand right and goes down! Adams gets on top of him and starts throwing some serious punches until the ref intervenes and stops the fight!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:56 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Leigh Adams!
Leigh Adams really struggled to get his t-shirt on before his hand was raised. Making sure that Voodoo Nutrition logo gets some air time is pretty tricky when you're all sweaty.
