Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are David Hoff, Michael Johnstone and Daniel Franklin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
nn checks a leg kick nicely.
Jeez, both these guys look absolutely knackered already, that's not a good sign!
nn thuds his shin into the meat of Shaw's side.
nn swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Shaw counters by clinching up.
Shaw breaks the clinch.
Shaw throws a head kick that misses.
Shaw sets himself, and nn steps forward looking for the clinch! Shaw avoids it this time.
nn throws a series of strikes that have Shaw backpedaling.
Shaw throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Shaw misses with a jab, cross combination.
nn nn seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
nn closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Shaw quickly recovers to half guard.

Shaw wants to break free but nn has control.
Shaw tries to pull guard but nn forces him back to his feet, against the cage.
Shaw is stalling here. The referee will be looking to step in if he doesn't pick up the pace.
nn's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
nn plants his feet and lands a nice head kick!
nn feints and as Shaw raises his hands in defense, nn changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Shaw is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. nn is aware though and is defending well.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Shaw looking for a guillotine here but nn defends easily.

Shaw wants to get back to his feet but nn is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
nn lands a couple of decent looking shots.
nn working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Shaw's head.
nn trying to control the position from guard on top but Shaw is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Shaw manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. nn manages to get himself to full guard.

Shaw works over nn with some ground and pound from guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Shaw wants to stand but nn has a closed guard, so he can't escape.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Shaw stands up and waves to nn to follow him.
Shaw throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but nn nn will probably get the nod.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
nn stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and nn wants it to stay on the feet.
nn feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
nn wants to control from the top but Shaw keeps moving.
nn gets to his feet. Shaw looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!
nn drives through with a takedown into Shaw's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position.
Shaw pushes nn off and scrambles back to his feet.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

As Shaw backs off nn throws a huge counter combo but Shaw manages to avoid it all.

This has been an exciting period of action!
nn is trying to control but can't.
Shaw is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so nn is just riding it out for now. Shaw eventually gives up the hold.

Shaw is looking to take a break and control but nn is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Shaw tries to stand but can't do so whilst nn controls his leg.

nn is not content to let Shaw control the position.
The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.
Shaw tries to bum rush nn with a series of wild strikes but nn uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Shaw throws a series of punches but nn moves out of range.

nn rushes Shaw and presses him up against the cage.
Shaw pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

Shaw drops an elbow to the side of nn's head.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close second round but I would say that Dj Shaw will probably get the nod.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. This is the final round!
A momentary lapse in concentration from Shaw enables nn to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Shaw manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.

Shaw fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. nn sprawls well initially but Shaw persists and gets the takedown into half guard.

nn is looking for a sweep. Shaw is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

Well, if Shaw is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
nn wants to improve his position but Shaw is controlling well.

Shaw is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. nn doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Shaw.

and Shaw counters with a three punch combo that has nn backing up. nn nods at Shaw to acknowledge the strikes.

and nn counters with a one-two to the body.
Shaw fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging nn to the ground. Shaw is now in nn's guard.
nn keeping moving, preventing Shaw from controlling successfully.
nn keeping full guard, as Shaw tries to pass.

nn looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
Shaw throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as nn works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
nn trying to punch from his back but it's not doing any damage.
nn keeping moving, preventing Shaw from controlling successfully.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Shaw advances position into side control!

nn nn seems to be getting the better of the standup.

nn moves into the clinch successfully.
nn manages to break the clinch.
Shaw fails with the takedown.
Shaw throws a sloppy head kick and nn moves out of range easily.
nn keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
nn pulls out of a head kick attempt.
nn moves out of range of the body kick.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Dj Shaw.

Dj Shaw opened up his post fight interview with a scream to camera that he wants a title shot! Whether he deserves the shot will be up to the management of the organization, so I guess he'll have to wait and see.
