Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Walter Frost (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Adam McQuaid (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, Walter Frost!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Adam McQuaid!
The judges for this bout are Bruno Lombardi, Steve Montenegro and John Kavanagh.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

McQuaid clinches.
An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Frost.
Frost lands with a good tight uppercut to the head.
Frost digs a right hand underneath McQuaid's ribcage. McQuaid let out a lung full of air as it connected.
McQuaid trying to stall but Frost improves his position.
Frost has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.
Frost scores with an uppercut up the middle.
Frost misses with a punch on the inside.
McQuaid has Frost pressed against the cage, preventing Frost from circling away and getting back to striking at range.

Frost breaks the clinch.
Frost throws a hook but McQuaid blocks it.
McQuaid fails with the takedown
and McQuaid takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
McQuaid has a takedown stuffed.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
McQuaid will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Walter Frost has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Adam McQuaid.
Frost lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.

Frost clinches up with McQuaid and pushes him back against the cage.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Frost tries to work over McQuaid's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target.
Frost lands a hook that snaps the head of McQuaid backwards.
McQuaid tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage.

Frost tries to work over McQuaid's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target.

Frost pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

Frost clinches up with McQuaid and pushes him back against the cage.
McQuaid drops down looking for an ankle pick but Frost pulls his leg out and moves away.

Frost takes the fight into the clinch.
Frost lands with a right to the head.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Frost works on McQuaid's body with a couple of short punches.
Frost lands with a light punch inside.
This has been an exciting period of action!
A right handed body shot lands from Frost.
Frost lands a body shot in the clinch.
Frost stalling the fight.
A short left from Frost.
Frost lands a shoulder strike that jolts his opponent's head backwards.
Frost gets underhooks to prevent McQuaid's takedown attempt.
Frost cracks McQuaid with a nice body shot.
Frost scores with an uppercut up the middle.

McQuaid works for the underhooks and manages to get a trip takedown into guard.
Frost really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
McQuaid stops Frost from standing up.

Frost scrambles and gets back to his feet.
Walter Frost seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
McQuaid walks into a straight right hand from Frost.


McQuaid is rocked!
Frost fakes the body blow, causing McQuaid to drop his hands! Left hook to the temple! McQuaid goes stiff, and falls face first into the mat. Goodnight!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:23 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Walter Frost!
A less than humble Walter Frost misjudged his post fight interview somewhat and came across a little too arrogant whilst trying to hype up his own abilities.
