Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Pablo Escobar (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Anakoni Kai (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Escobar comes to the cage accompanied by Big Pun - Brave in The Heart. The crowd seem to be enjoying Kai's choice of entrance music: Firestarter. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

14 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Anakoni Kai!
The judges for this bout are Aafke Stam, Patrick Alders and Radbod Blank.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Escobar throws a hook but Kai avoids it easily.
Kai throws out a counter right but Escobar avoids it with no problem.
Escobar swings widly with a right hand
and Kai counters with a nice body shot.
Escobar is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Kai.
Escobar takes a swing at Kai's ribcage but misses.
An inside leg kick lands from Escobar.
Kai steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Escobar.
Escobar lands a nice shot to the body.
Escobar dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Kai. That did some damage!
Kai throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Escobar pivots, looking for a leg kick but Kai is out of range and Escobar settles back down.

and Kai counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Escobar dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Kai. That did some damage!

Kai throws a shot to the body.

Kai slips under a jab from Escobar.
Kai looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it.
Both fighters circling a little - Kai finishes the exchange with a kick to the body.
Escobar is breathing heavily.
Kai takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.
Kai lands a brutal head kick. Escobar looks out on his feet and Kai throws more strikes until the ref is forced to stop the fight!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:24 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Kick and Punches). Anakoni Kai!
