Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Kyle Klinger (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and John Blitz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Klinger comes into the arena with Jekyll and Hyde blaring out of the sound system. The fight MMA fans around the world have waited their entire lives for!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Kyle Klinger! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, John Blitz! The judges for this bout are Steve Montenegro, Jorge Garcia and Chad Campbell.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Blitz throws a head kick that half lands.
No joy there for Klinger, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Blitz tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Klinger manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. Klinger throws a low kick, looking for Blitz's leg but Blitz calmly moves out of range. No joy there for Blitz, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Klinger just misses with a punch to the body.
Blitz is looking for the big counter here. Crunch! Blitz slams his shin into Klinger's torso. Klinger throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Blitz. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Blitz lands a nice leg kick that just misses Klinger's sensitive parts. Blitz pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way. Nice body kick there by Blitz.
That's one minute gone in the round. Klinger stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Blitz. A kick lands to the mid section there for Blitz. Klinger throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Blitz sees it coming and avoids it easily. Klinger rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Blitz counters with a nice low kick that buckles Klinger's knee momentarily. Blitz scoring well with a low kick there.
Klinger definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight. Kyle Klinger seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Blitz throws a feint and then finishes with a kick to the body. Blitz gets cracked there but stands up to it.
Klinger throws a sloppy body shot
and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick. We've been informed that Blitz has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result. Klinger misses with a kick to the body.
Blitz throws a fast counter high kick but Klinger manages to duck under it in time.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Blitz uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Klinger.
That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Klinger crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Blitz - the referee stops the clock and Klinger gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Blitz. Klinger manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes. Thud! ouch! good body kick from Blitz - that will leave a mark!
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Klinger misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Klinger tries to bum rush Blitz with a series of wild strikes but Blitz uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Nice body kick there by Blitz. Klinger chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Blitz can pounce on him.
Klinger stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Blitz. Blitz connects with a solid leg kick. Blitz lands with a thumping leg kick.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Blitz lands with a nice body kick. Klinger lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Blitz circles away quickly and effectively. Blitz is looking for the big counter here. Klinger scores with a takedown into Blitz's guard. Blitz is wriggling around but Klinger manages to pass to half guard.
Klinger uses his free foot to push down on Blitz's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Blitz. Blitz is desperately trying to improve his position but Klinger has a good base and remains in mount. Klinger is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Blitz can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Klinger with good strikes from the mount here! Klinger is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Blitz has managed to escape the submission attempt.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Klinger looking to ground and pound but Blitz is blocking nicely. Klinger wants to control the pace but Blitz is squirming around nicely. Blitz squirming around on the bottom, looking to escape.
Klinger sends his fist crashing into the mat - the crowd let out a collective ooooooh. Let's hope he's not broken it! And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
John Blitz dominated that round. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.
A head kick misses from Blitz. Klinger appears to be looking for a big counter. Klinger shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Blitz manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage. Blitz is looking to stand back up... there's a bit of a scramble and Klinger dives into side control.
Klinger happy to just control the position for now. Blitz dodges the ground and pound from Klinger. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Blitz avoids any damage from the ground and pound of Klinger. Klinger controlling from side mount. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's one minute gone in the round. Klinger has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent. The strikes coming from Klinger are missing the target in this wave of attacks. Klinger working the ground and pound but he's contacting the mat, not the fighter. Kyle Klinger overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Blitz is not content to let Klinger control the position. Klinger passes to full mount! That's big trouble for Blitz! Blitz really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Klinger. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Klinger looking to finish with strikes here!
Klinger tries to control but Blitz wriggling away. Klinger throws an elbow from mount that misses. Lucky escape for Blitz because Klinger loaded up on that one. Klinger sends his fist crashing into the mat - the crowd let out a collective ooooooh. Let's hope he's not broken it! Blitz is in a horrible position here, under a barrage of strikes, he's managing to avoid any damage.

That's one minute gone in the round. Blitz's corner calls for a 1, 2 combination and Blitz duly obliges. Blitz thumps Klinger with a low kick. Blitz lands with a head kick! That's gotta hurt. Blitz tries to close the distance and clinch up but Klinger swats him away and circles back towards the center. It looked like Klinger was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit. Blitz doesn't manage to clinch there - Klinger circles away.
Klinger takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Klinger shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard. Klinger with a momentary lay and pray from half guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Klinger throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Blitz's head. Klinger sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Blitz defending well though. Klinger seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Blitz does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. Klinger throwing shots but Blitz is blocking nicely. Klinger is trying to control the action in half guard but Blitz is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Klinger throwing shots but Blitz is blocking nicely. Blitz is in trouble now - Klinger has advanced to mount! Klinger controlling from the full mount. Klinger throwing strikes here but Blitz is writhing around nicely and avoiding any serious damage.
Klinger tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position. Klinger throwing sloppy strikes here. Perhaps if he tightened up his striking from such a dominant position, he'd be able to finish easier.
Blitz is trying to get back to his feet but can't.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Klinger wants to control the pace but Blitz is squirming around nicely. Klinger misses with a head shot. Klinger with good strikes from the mount here! Klinger is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Blitz is surviving well by controlling Klinger's body position as best he can. Klinger throwing sloppy strikes here. Perhaps if he tightened up his striking from such a dominant position, he'd be able to finish easier.

And that's the end of the fight! I would just about give that final round to John Blitz. I think Blitz has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
