Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Frank Mir!
The judges for this bout are George Francis, Stewart Dunkirk and Chris Downing.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mir takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.
Mir drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.
Sten changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.
Sten scores with a hook.
Good shot there by Sten.
No joy there for Mir, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Sten cracks Mir with a good jab.
Sten drops Mir with a beautiful combination! Mir stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Sten is looking for the KO!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Mir is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Sten.
Mir is looking to clinch.
Mir tries to clinch
and Sten counters with a nice right hand that sends Mir toppling to the canvas! Mir scrambles and gets back to his feet - can Sten finish him?!
Mir is rocked!
Mir has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Mir there as he acknowledges the shot.
Mir is still on wobbly legs! Can Sten finish him?
Mir takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
Mir seems to have recovered his senses.
Mir throws a head kick but Sten moves out of range.
Sten is looking to counter punch.
Sten lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Mir at a distance.
Bertil Sten is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Mir fails with a takedown attempt.
Mir looks winded!
Mir throws a head kick that misses.
Sten lands a left and a right that send Mir crashing to the mat, dazed. Sten thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!
I'm just looking down at my notes here and I see that.... oh! Sten has cracked Mir with a big right, followed by a left! He's out on his feet! Sten lands another huge swinging hook and Mir tumbles to the canvas! The ref dives in to save Mir, before Sten can land any more shots!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:30 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Bertil Sten!
