Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between JJ Bush (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ben Steller (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
8 - 6 - 0, fighting out of New York, JJ Bush! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
5 - 4 - 0, fighting out of New York, Ben Steller! The judges for this bout are Reed Andrews, Lou da Vinci and Eddie Farnsworth.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Bush takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily. Steller keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Steller tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Bush paws at him with a jab and circles away. Bush shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Bush thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. Bush is thwarting Steller's attempts to control the position. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Bush throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man. Bush throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage. Steller tries to roll over but Bush keeps him under control. Bush sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Steller defending well though.

Steller is positioning himself well to prevent Bush advancing to mount. Bush is looking to take a break and control but Steller is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Bush has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Bush prevents Steller from improving his position. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Bush not doing much here.
Steller wants to get back to full guard. Bush scoring with strikes to the body and head. Bush wants to pass to mount but Steller is defending the position. Steller tries to get to full guard but Bush has control of the leg. Bush not throwing his punches with enough precision this time.

Bush lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt. Bush not landing any meaningful shots this time. Bush thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Steller's head. Steller is refusing to be controlled, as Bush sits in half guard. Steller tries to roll over but Bush keeps him under control. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Steller wants to control the action here but instead Bush manages to pass to full mount!
That's four minutes gone in the round. Bush trying to control but Steller is having none of it. The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Bush cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
Steller tries to hold on but Bush postures up. Steller flailing away with punches but nothing is landing.
Steller is bucking up trying to escape but Bush cracks him with another couple of good strikes. Steller looks winded! Bush with the ground and pound from mount. Bush can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Steller is looking to escape. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Steller tries to hold on but Bush pushes him away. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Steller tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Bush fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Steller avoids it really well and circles away. Steller darts in looking for a takedown but Bush gets double underhooks and turns Steller into the cage. Steller tries to close the distance and clinch but Bush swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Steller bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Bush's head backwards. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Bush closes the distance and clinches up with Steller, looking for a takedown. Bush pushes Steller against the cage but Steller circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Bush is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Steller can do to turn this around? Bush drives through with a takedown into guard. Bush wants to control from the top but Steller keeps moving. Bush scoring with some ground and pound.

Bush cracks Steller with a solid left hand. Bush working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Bush controls from within his opponent's guard. Bush missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Bush wants to control from the top but Steller keeps moving.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Bush is looking to work some ground and pound but Steller has wrist control. Steller wants to sweep but no luck. Steller keeping moving, preventing Bush from controlling successfully. Bush working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Steller can do anything to dispel that myth. Bush engaging in some classic timewasting tactics. Steller has a butterfly guard looking to sweep but Bush has passed into side control.
Steller is breathing heavily. Bush working the ground and pound but he's contacting the mat, not the fighter. Bush working away diligently from side control. Landing strikes effectively there - that will score him some points on the judges scorecards.

Bush grinds an elbow into Steller's temple. Bush wants to control but Steller is keeping him busy. Bush is chipping away with strikes.

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Bush is trying to control the action in half guard but Steller is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard. Steller wants to control but Bush is keeping busy and won't allow it. Steller keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound. Bush content to control rather than advance. Steller is not content to let Bush control the position. Bush looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Steller with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position. Bush working the head and body with strikes.

If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Bush lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt. Bush working over Steller with some ground and pound. Steller looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable. Bush winds up and cracks Steller with a swinging punch to the side of the head. Steller is still in real trouble! Can Bush finish him? Bush lands a big elbow from half guard. That looks like it's hurt Steller quite badly. Steller pulls Bush in close trying to recover. Bush postures up and lands two really hard shots that put Steller on queer street! The ref takes a look and decides to call an end to the fight! Possibly an early stoppage but Steller doesn't seem to be complaining too much.
