Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Melvin Morris (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Chang Thong Song (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Chang Thong Song!
The judges for this bout are Bruno Lombardi, Reed Andrews and Dean Styles.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Morris misses the jab.
Thong Song shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.
Morris is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Morris is working hard here to advance position.
Thong Song trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Thong Song is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
Thong Song got a little sloppy there for a moment and Morris has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Thong Song has managed to get both his arms back between Morris's legs - danger averted.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Morris is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Thong Song defends well.
Thong Song pushes down on Morris's leg and manages to get into half guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Thong Song is keen to just control but Morris is a slippery customer.
We've been hearing good reports from Morris's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today.
Morris is trying to maintain the position but Thong Song is very close to passing his half guard.
Thong Song seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.

Thong Song wants to control but Morris is keeping him busy.
Morris tries to roll over but Thong Song keeps him under control.
Thong Song is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Morris doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Thong Song.

Thong Song has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Thong Song is working for a guillotine from mount but Morris frees his head quite easily.
Morris is desperately trying to improve his position but Thong Song has a good base and remains in mount.

It looks like Thong Song might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.

Morris tries to control Thong Song's body but Thong Song pushes him off. Morris squirms to his side and now Thong Song has his back!

Thong Song looking to break Morris's wrist control so he can sink in the choke. Morris remaining controlled and patient though - he really has to keep calm otherwise Thong Song will wrap this one up with the rear naked choke!
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Morris defends a rear naked choke attempt by controlling one of Thong Song's arms.
Morris manages to reverse the position and now he's in Thong Song's guard. Nice work there by Morris.
Morris knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Thong Song on the ground.

Morris tries to free his leg and advance position but Thong Song is retaining full guard.

Thong Song tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Morris lands a couple of elbows.
Morris throws an elbow that misses. Thong Song uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Morris's guard. Nice move by Thong Song!
Thong Song slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.
Thong Song has an Americana. Morris didn't react quickly enough there and he's in big trouble now! He tries to squirm out but is forced to tap! Thong Song is delighted and gyrates in front of the ring girls. They seem to like the attention - it'll be interesting to see if Thong Song hooks up with any of them at the after show party.
