Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Lou Todd (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bruce Fairweather (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Lou Todd!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Bruce Fairweather!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Gwen Towbar and Stewart Dunkirk.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Todd gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Fairweather to score an easy takedown into full guard.
Todd is trying to control the position from the bottom.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Fairweather controls from within his opponent's guard.
Todd is trying to control the position but Fairweather postures up.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Todd wants to sweep here but Fairweather controlling him for the moment.

Todd has a closed guard, preventing Fairweather from standing up.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.
Fairweather controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
The fight stays on the outside here - Todd looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Fairweather is definitely looking for the counter takedowns here.

Fairweather bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.

Fairweather scores with a couple of short elbows.
Todd can't do much from the bottom here.
Fairweather looking to punish the body of his opponent here but Todd is avoiding damage well.
Fairweather controls the position.
Todd is trying to control Fairweather's posture but Fairweather avoids it.
You can see the frustration on Todd's face as Fairweather controls the position.
Fairweather creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Todd sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike.

Fairweather is trying to get an arm triangle but Todd is defending well.

Todd wants to control but Fairweather postures up.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

You can see the frustration on Todd's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.
Todd could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Fairweather shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
Fairweather is thwarting Todd's attempts to control the position.
Todd wants to get back to full guard.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Fairweather looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Bruce Fairweather dominated that round.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.


Todd lands a jab to the head.
Fairweather drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.
Todd closes the distance but Fairweather moves to the side

and Fairweather counters with a takedown into side control.
Todd manages to get back to half guard.
Fairweather is thwarting Todd's attempts to control the position.
Todd is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Fairweather is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.

Fairweather missing with some ground and pound from the half guard.

Fairweather stands, ready to strike. The ref makes him back up and allows Todd to get to his feet.
Todd moves in looking to clinch but Fairweather pushes him off.
Fairweather circles away from the clinch attempt.
Todd bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.

Bruce Fairweather seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Todd tries to clinch but Fairweather moves out of range.
Fairweather misses with the combination.
Fairweather tries to grapple but his opponent circles
enabling Todd to counter with a crisp jab.
Todd tries to clinch but Fairweather moves out of range.
Todd dips down and scores with a jab to the body.

Fairweather closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Fairweather looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.

Todd wants to get back to full guard.
Fairweather working over Todd with some ground and pound. Todd looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Fairweather wants to control from the top but Todd keeps moving.

Fairweather gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.
Todd tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Fairweather paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Todd circles away from the clinch attempt.
Todd appears to be looking for a big counter.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Todd doesn't manage to clinch there - Fairweather circles away.
Todd slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.
Todd cracks Fairweather with an open hand slap.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Bruce Fairweather showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. Let's hear some noise people - this is the final round!


Todd fails with an attempt to clinch.
A low kick from Fairweather is predictable there
and Todd counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.

Fairweather throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Todd tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Fairweather is in Todd's guard.
Todd is trying to control the position but Fairweather postures up.

Todd isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Fairweather stacks Todd on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Fairweather!
Todd manages to get one leg in to regain half guard.

Fairweather tries to stand and escape but Todd is controlling the position.

Fairweather seems to be working for a kimura but Todd defends the submission attempt.
Todd wants to control the action here but instead Fairweather manages to pass to full mount!

Todd tries to lock up and control but Fairweather gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
Fairweather controlling from the full mount.
Fairweather can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Todd is looking to escape.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
Fairweather prevents Todd from getting the reversal.
Todd avoids a series of strikes thrown by Fairweather.
Fairweather avoids the attempt from Todd to control.
Fairweather controlling his opponent.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
BOOM! Fairweather connects with a massive shot to the dome!
Fairweather misses with a head shot.

Fairweather moves into side control, trying to work for a kimura. That looks painful! Will he finish!!?? No, Todd has worked his arm free - good work by Todd!
Todd is looking to reverse the position.
Todd struggling a bit here.

Fairweather decides to stand back up. Fairweather steps back and let's Todd get back to his feet.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Fairweather takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
Bruce Fairweather is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Todd tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Fairweather paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Lou Todd has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

Fairweather gets a takedown into half guard.
Todd throws a strike from the bottom that misses.

Fairweather is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Todd is just riding it out for now. Fairweather eventually gives up the hold.
Fairweather takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Fairweather is keen to just control but Todd is a slippery customer.

And that's the end of the fight!
Bruce Fairweather comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I've got Fairweather winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
