Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Antonio Pettis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kuntet Wijoyo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Kuntet Wijoyo was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Antonio Pettis! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 4 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Kuntet Wijoyo! The judges for this bout are Peter Branson, Michael Johnstone and Dirk Anderson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A combination from Wijoyo does no damage. Pettis tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Wijoyo defends well and Pettis ends up having to push Wijoyo into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch. Wijoyo looking for a takedown here - he's got it. Pettis looking for a sweep. Not yet Pettis, not yet. Pettis keeping full guard, as Wijoyo tries to pass. Pettis working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Wijoyo doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Wijoyo manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Wijoyo content to stall in guard here. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Pettis looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Pettis is working hard here to advance position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Wijoyo postures up and lands some nice ground and pound. Wijoyo wanted to stand there but Pettis had control of the position. Wijoyo controls the pace of the fight for a moment. Wijoyo drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Pettis dives on top into guard.
Pettis drops back, looking for a kneebar! Wijoyo looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Wijoyo looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Wijoyo!
Wijoyo wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Pettis, who protects the arm well. Pettis is looking to reverse the position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Wijoyo is looking to take a break and control but Pettis is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Pettis bucks up and tries to throw Wijoyo off but instead Wijoyo has got his back! Pettis is defending well here and trying to improve his position.
Wijoyo has the hooks sunk in and you can see the will to fight slowly draining out of Pettis's body.
Wijoyo lands strikes to the head. Wijoyo lands a punch to the side of the head from the back. Wijoyo biding his time, looking for the opening.
I really don't envy Pettis right now.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Pettis is trying to stand back up. Pettis is staying cool under pressure, defending well against the rear naked choke attempt from his opponent.
Pettis manages to reverse the position and now he's in Wijoyo's guard. Nice work there by Pettis.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Pettis being controlled here momentarily. Pettis avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Wijoyo has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Pettis can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Pettis wanted to stand there but Wijoyo had control of the position. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Kuntet Wijoyo dominated that round. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!
Pettis shoots in for a takedown but Wijoyo shows good takedown defense. Pettis lands a jab-cross combination. Wijoyo fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Pettis half commits to a counter takedown before pushing away, out of range. Wijoyo slaps away a takedown attempt from Pettis, before circling back to the center of the mat. Despite the aggression on Wijoyo's face he doesn't fully commit to the counter. Pettis scores with a head kick. Wijoyo tried to block it but didn't get his arm up in time. Wijoyo avoids the head kick by Pettis.
A punch combination from Pettis misses. No luck with that takedown attempt from Wijoyo. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Wijoyo looks for a takedown but Pettis sprawls well. Antonio Pettis has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Kuntet Wijoyo. Pettis lands a high kick!
That's one minute gone in the round. Wijoyo shoots for a double leg takedown but Pettis sprawls well. He's pushed Wijoyo's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Pettis closes the distance and clinches up with Wijoyo, looking for a takedown. Pettis pushes Wijoyo against the cage but Wijoyo circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Pettis connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head. Pettis shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Wijoyo tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Pettis defends well and Wijoyo ends up having to push Pettis into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch. Pettis tries a head kick but it misses.
Pettis lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw. Antonio Pettis seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. No luck with that takedown attempt from Wijoyo. Pettis throws a head kick that misses. A head kick misses from Pettis. Pettis gets caught napping as Wijoyo dives in and scores a takedown. Pettis manages to retain guard. Pettis looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Wijoyo is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Pettis throwing some rather feeble looking strikes off his back.
We've been informed that Wijoyo has been working hard on his conditioning in the buildup to the fight. Wijoyo is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound. Pettis can't keep his opponent in guard - Wijoyo advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount. Kuntet Wijoyo has got the better of the ground game so far. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Wijoyo escapes and gets back to his feet. Wijoyo drives through with a takedown into Pettis's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position. Pettis is wriggling around but Wijoyo manages to pass to half guard.

Wijoyo sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment. Pettis is squirming around, avoiding Wijoyo's attempts to control the action. Wijoyo is in the full mount, landing strikes.

Wijoyo goes for an armbar but he's fallen flat on his backside there and now Pettis is on top in guard.
Wijoyo looking to hit a scissor sweep but Pettis is one step ahead there. Pettis wants to get up but he can't break Wijoyo's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close second round but I would say that Antonio Pettis will probably get the nod. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! Let's hear some noise people - this is the final round!

It looked like Pettis was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit. Wijoyo tries to sprawl but Pettis drives through with a takedown into half guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Pettis wants to take a breather but Wijoyo is having none of it. Pettis stands, ready to strike. The ref makes him back up and allows Wijoyo to get to his feet. Pettis throws a sloppy head kick and Wijoyo moves out of range easily. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Pettis stuffs the takedown attempt from Wijoyo. Wijoyo gets slowly back to his feet. As Wijoyo looks to move away, Pettis throws a big counter combo bu Wijoyo just gets out of the way. Pettis fails with an attempt to clinch.
Pettis is trying hard to land a takedown here. Wijoyo sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. Pettis throws a head kick that misses. Wijoyo looks like he wants to counter punch here. Wijoyo is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Pettis's half guard. Pettis tries to push off, looking to stand up, but Wijoyo manages to move to mount!

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Pettis manages to get back to half guard. It looks like Wijoyo is going to stand back up.

Pettis regains full guard. Nicely done. Pettis being controlled here, momentarily. Pettis throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Wijoyo's corner is telling him to maintain position. Wijoyo working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Pettis's head. Wijoyo wants to control from the top but Pettis keeps moving. Wijoyo lands a couple of digs. Wijoyo passes easily into side control. Nice work. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Wijoyo wants to lay and pray for a moment but Pettis keeps working. Wijoyo scores with punches from side control.
And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Antonio Pettis. I think Pettis has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
