Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Diego Carlos (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Shantaram Bloodlust (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Diego Carlos! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Shantaram Bloodlust! The judges for this bout are Peter Branson, Michael Johnstone and Santiago Holmes.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Carlos drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard. Bloodlust not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Carlos wants to control from the top but Bloodlust keeps moving. Carlos is looking to pass into half guard but Bloodlust pushes him away with his feet and jumps on top - now Bloodlust is in guard. Carlos is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control. Bloodlust trying to control but Carlos is working from the bottom. Carlos pulls Bloodlust in close to prevent any damage. Bloodlust trying to control but Carlos is working from the bottom. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Carlos is looking for a triangle but Bloodlust pushes his legs off easily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Bloodlust tries to free his leg and advance position but Carlos is retaining full guard. Carlos seems keen to control Bloodlust's posture. Bloodlust trying to control the position from guard on top but Carlos is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Carlos pulls Bloodlust in to control the position. Carlos's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.
The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Bloodlust gets caught flat footed, as Carlos shoots in with a quick takedown into guard. Carlos drops back, looking for a kneebar! Bloodlust looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Bloodlust looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Bloodlust!
Bloodlust looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything. You can see the frustration on Carlos's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. A lull in the action here as Bloodlust stalls from top position. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Bloodlust trying to control the position but Carlos is working away.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Bloodlust is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Carlos is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now. The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Carlos wants to control but Bloodlust postures up. Carlos is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Bloodlust is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him. Bloodlust stands up. Carlos slaps away a takedown attempt from Bloodlust, before circling back to the center of the mat. Carlos is trying to close the distance and clinch up, after that failed offence from Bloodlust.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Carlos throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Bloodlust tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Carlos is in Bloodlust's guard. Carlos drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Bloodlust dives on top into guard. Carlos managing to control the position. Carlos looking for a guillotine here but Bloodlust defends easily.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Bloodlust is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Carlos is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Carlos has escaped and now he's on top!
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Diego Carlos will probably get the nod. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
Bloodlust closes the distance and clinches. Bloodlust is trying to stall.
Bloodlust digs a right hand into Carlos's ribs. Those have got to be taking their toll on Carlos's gas tank. We've been informed that Bloodlust has been working hard on his conditioning in the buildup to the fight. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Bloodlust working some nice short punches in the clinch. Bloodlust lands a damaging elbow.
It looks like Diego Carlos has been cut. Bloodlust tries to throw a body punch but Carlos avoids it by throwing Bloodlust back against the cage. Bloodlust lands a glancing elbow in the clinch.
That's one minute gone in the round. A battle for position here, against the cage. Bloodlust misses with a body punch.
A head punch on the inside from Bloodlust fails to land. Carlos blocks a couple of punches on the inside.

Carlos jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Bloodlust walks away with a smile on his face. Carlos gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head. Bloodlust defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Carlos. Bloodlust tries to counter by closing the distance. Bloodlust moves into range and clinches up with Carlos. Carlos tries to pull guard but Bloodlust won't allow it.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Diego Carlos. That's going to take a lot out of him. Carlos tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Bloodlust smiles and moves away.
Bloodlust fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Carlos, pushing him back against the cage.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Bloodlust lands with a light punch inside. Bloodlust working on landing some head shots here - that one got through nicely. Carlos decides to pull guard. Bloodlust passes into half guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Bloodlust passes to full mount! Bloodlust has been the more effective fighter overall so far. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Bloodlust tries to control but Carlos wriggling away. Bloodlust is giving the impression that he's looking to ground and pound but he switches suddenly into a beautiful far side armbar! Carlos is forced to tap! Great finish!
