The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Stark drives through with a takedown into Rutledge's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position.

There's a bit of a scramble here and now Rutledge is on top in guard.

Stark really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Rutledge. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Rutledge has managed to escape just enough to sneak back to his feet but Stark is on him like a limpet, forcing Rutledge back against the cage.
Rutledge is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Stark can do to turn this around?
Rutledge is trying to drag Stark to the mat but Stark just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.
Stark gets control of Rutledge's arms and successfully pulls guard. Stark will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
