Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between John Esposito (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dick Ding (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Esposito comes to the cage accompanied by Sukh Knight. Ding comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Mortal Kombat kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! John Esposito is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples... Tweaking his own nipples that is.

With a record of 19 - 18 - 1, fighting out of Montreal, Dick Ding!
The judges for this bout are Gregory Folan, Yves DeLean and Ian Loll.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Esposito throws a hard body shot but it just misses.

Ding scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground.

Esposito kicks Ding off and gets back to his feet.
Ding connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.

It looks like John Esposito has been cut.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Ding ducks under a wild hook from Esposito.

and Esposito counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
John Esposito is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

and Ding counters with a nice uppercut.
Esposito stuns Ding with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.
Ding looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Esposito is fending him off so far but Ding persists. Nope, Esposito circles away and we're back to standing.

The fighters circle momentarily. Ding darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.
John Esposito seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Ding doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
Esposito lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.
Esposito throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Ding sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Ding attempts a leg kick but it's missed by a good margin.

Esposito connects with an inside leg kick.

Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Esposito is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Ding.
A combination from Ding does no damage.
Esposito looks to land a left hand but Ding moved out of range nicely.
Esposito finds nothing but air with that leg kick attempt.
Ding fails to land with a series of punches.

Ding throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Esposito was looking to counter that last move with a shot to the body but he didn't commit.
Esposito throws a nice looking combination but Ding bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Esposito throws a right hand that misses
and Ding counters with a good low kick that Esposito was not able to check.
Ding moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Ding connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son.
Esposito throws a leg kick but Ding checks it.
Ding throws a counter combo.
Esposito takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
Ding steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Esposito.
Esposito moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot.
Esposito falls off balance throwing a combination
and Ding counters with a left and a right that stings Esposito.
Ding tries to clinch up but Esposito circles away and keeps his distance.
That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Esposito crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Ding - the referee stops the clock and Esposito gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Ding. Esposito manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.
Esposito is breathing heavily.
A big right from Esposito misses.

Ding gets in close and instigates a clinch.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Esposito tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage.

Ding's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Esposito tries to score with a leg kick but it misses it's target.
Ding looks to land a combination. Esposito sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.


John Esposito's cut is getting worse.

Ding drives through and clinches with Esposito against the cage.

Ding pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Esposito scores with a nice head shot.
Ding moves out of range of the strikes.
Esposito swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Esposito misses with a lunging right hand

and Ding counters by clinching up.
The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Ding breaks from the clinch.
A leg kick checked by Ding.
Esposito is really peppering his opponent's head with punches.
Esposito rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Ding counters with a right hand to the body.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Dick Ding will probably get the nod.
Both fighters have cut men working on them during the interval.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!


Esposito fails to land with a series of punches.
Esposito throws a hook but Ding blocks it.

Excellent takedown into side control there by Ding.

Esposito sneaks out the side door and pushes Ding away - he's back to his feet. The crowd show their appreciation for the escape.

Ding rushes Esposito and presses him up against the cage.

Ding breaks the clinch.

Ding closes the distance and clinches.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Dick Ding seems to be getting the better of the standup.
Good leg kick by Ding there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Ding plants his feet and lands a nice head kick!
Ding misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
A little feinted left hand from Esposito on the counter but he doesn't commit to it.

Esposito misses with an uppercut
and Ding counters with a left and a right that stings Esposito.
Ding's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Esposito connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Ding scrambles back to his feet.
Esposito swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Esposito loads up on a big right hand but Ding slips the punch.
Esposito is looking to score with low kicks.

Ding closes the distance and clinches.

Ding has clasped his hands together around Esposito's back... aaand, he's got a takedown into side control. Nicely done.
Ding tries to land with some ground and pound but misses.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Ding fails to land a wild elbow strike.
Ding lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Esposito down.
Esposito might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Esposito wants to get back to his feet but Ding drags him back down.
Esposito wants to control but Ding postures up.

Esposito defending against the ground and pound.
Esposito can't do much from the bottom here.
John Esposito overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Ding lands an elbow.

Ding looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.
Esposito is in a tricky position but he's been working on his transitions down at The Barracks - LOD, so we'll see if he gets out of it.
Esposito tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Ding wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
Ding scoring with punches and elbows.
Esposito tries to get back to his feet but has found himself mounted instead. Damn, that's gotta suck.
Esposito wants to hold on but Ding pushes him away.

Esposito is working to get back to half guard.
Esposito taking shots to the head.
Ding trying to control but Esposito is having none of it.
Esposito is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
Ding punching from mount but Esposito doing a good job of avoiding damage.

Jeez, John Esposito's cut is really nasty now. The referee must be thinking about getting that checked.

The referee calls the doctor in to look at John Esposito's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:19 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Cut). Dick Ding!
During a confident post fight interview, Dick Ding thanked all his fans. He seemed very genuine when describing how motivated his fans keep him.
