Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Orville Weiss (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Yuri Kuminaga (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Orville Weiss had a look across the cage there at his opponent. He definitely means business

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 4 - 1, fighting out of Tokyo, Orville Weiss!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Yuri Kuminaga!
The judges for this bout are Shigeki Sano, Yuuki Gou and Taro Takaoka.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Kuminaga gets the takedown into side control.

Weiss explodes and escapes back to his feet! Nice escape there!

Kuminaga closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Kuminaga lands in his opponent's guard.

Weiss might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Kuminaga decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Kuminaga seems to be working for a kimura but Weiss defends the submission attempt.
Weiss is not content to let Kuminaga control the position.
Weiss is trying to stand back up but Kuminaga is controlling him

Weiss has managed to escape just enough to sneak back to his feet but Kuminaga is on him like a limpet, forcing Weiss back against the cage.

Weiss breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Kuminaga manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Weiss on his heels. He'll look to pass Weiss's guard now, I'm sure.

Weiss scrambles and gets back to his feet.

Weiss pushes Kuminaga up against the cage in a clinch.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Weiss tries a knee to the head but he's missed.

Weiss gets a trip takedown into half guard.
Weiss knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Kuminaga on the ground.
Kuminaga is trying to get back to full guard.

Weiss is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Weiss connects with a nice short shot to Kuminaga's temple.
Weiss slips a nice elbow through Kuminaga's hands, connecting with Kuminaga's forehead.
Weiss is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound.
Weiss is trying to control. Kuminaga wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.
Kuminaga avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Weiss.
The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Weiss lands a nice short elbow.
Weiss looks to score some points with some ground and pound.
Weiss really is a fat lump.

Kuminaga is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Weiss pulls his head out easily.

Weiss has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Kuminaga uses from the top position.

Yuri Kuminaga seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Weiss ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Weiss no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.
Weiss bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Kuminaga's guard.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Kuminaga closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Kuminaga lands in his opponent's guard.
