Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 8 - 7 - 0, fighting out of New York, Jake Wobinson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 9 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, Mike Plaskota!
The judges for this bout are Reed Andrews, John Kavanagh and Columbo Gatti.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Wobinson.
Wobinson scores with a nice head shot.
Wobinson changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Plaskota tries to avoid it but Wobinson manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Plaskota to the ground. Plaskota escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
And Plaskota tries to counter it with a takedown but Wobinson pushes his down on his head and steps out.

Plaskota darts in and clinches Wobinson up against the cage.
Wobinson has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Plaskota is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jake Wobinson. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Plaskota misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from Wobinson.

Wobinson manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back.
Plaskota tries to free his leg and advance position but Wobinson is retaining full guard.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Plaskota lands a couple of decent looking shots.

Wobinson trying to strike from the bottom but really, it's not the best position to be doing that from!

Plaskota has hold of Wobinson's arm. He's looking for a kimura. Wobinson seems comfortable defending it but Plaskota has shifted his position slighty and is cranking on the arm! Wobinson is real pain and he's forced to tap out! Wobinson is disgusted with himself for not defending it better but Plaskota couldn't care less - he's delighted!
