Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Sam Alexander (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Calvin Larios (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Larios has chosen Sige Lang - Quest as his entrance music. Calvin Larios is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Sam Alexander!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Calvin Larios!
The judges for this bout are Tatsuya Matsuyama, Kenichi Hosakawa and Shigeki Sano.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Larios misses with a combination
and Alexander counters with a nice double leg into side control. Larios won't be happy with that.
Larios throws Alexander to one side and escapes!
Larios shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Alexander eats them both and turns towards Larios to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.
A combination from Larios does no damage.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Larios swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Larios moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.
It looks like Sam Alexander has been cut.
No luck for Larios with that takedown attempt.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Alexander tries to sprawl but Larios drives through with a takedown into half guard.
Larios looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Alexander is pressing down on Larios's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.
Larios postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Alexander escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Larios gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Alexander trying to keep a closed guard but Larios is proving a slippery customer.
Alexander is working an open guard so Larios takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.
Alexander misses with a wild body shot.
Larios throws a series of punches but Alexander avoids them all with ease.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Larios misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Alexander looks to score with a jab to the body but Larios is just out of range.

Larios has managed to clinch.
Larios has Alexander pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Alexander manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.
Sam Alexander has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Calvin Larios.
Larios is trying to force a seperation but Alexander has the dominant position.
Larios is looking to break free of the clinch but Alexander has double underhooks.
That's three minutes gone in the round.
Alexander pulls guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Larios trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
Alexander is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Larios defends well.
Larios trying to control the position from guard on top but Alexander is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Larios has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Larios stands and steps away. Alexander gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.
Larios shoots in but no luck this time.
Larios throws a two punch combo that lands nicely.
Alexander is rocked!

Larios wobbles Alexander with a right hand and the left hook that follows puts him on his rear! Larios dives in with a huge flying punch that connects right on the button and puts Alexander to sleep! - What a violent and spectacular finish!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:13 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Calvin Larios!
