Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ferdum stuffs the takedown attempt from Aerts. Aerts gets slowly back to his feet.
Aerts is trying hard to land a takedown here. Ferdum sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Aerts shoots in for a double leg but Ferdum sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
An attempted straight right counter from Ferdum misses the target.
Wabricio Ferdum has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Govan Aerts.
Aerts gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Ferdum.
It looks like Govan Aerts has been cut.
Ferdum ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
Aerts fails to land the takedown.
A head kick misses from Ferdum.
Aerts changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt.
Ferdum connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Aerts's hands.
Aerts tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Ferdum defends well and Aerts ends up having to push Ferdum into the ropes where they will battle it out in the clinch.
BOOM! Ferdum lands a beautiful left hook that drops Aerts. Aerts tries to recover but Ferdum is having none of it, landing more punishing shots from mount. One final crushing shot and Aerts lies motionless on the canvas. The fight is over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:42 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Wabricio Ferdum!
