PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Ilav Yough (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Gidi Mayne (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A looping hook to the body misses from Yough. Mayne does a little dance to reset his feet.
Yough works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.
Yough with a jab.
Yough throws a hook but Mayne avoids it easily.
Yough scores with a decent looking hook.
Mayne with a poor takedown
enabling Yough to counter with a crisp jab.
Yough fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Mayne on the side of the head.
A head kick by Mayne misses
and Yough makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
Mayne walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.

Mayne is rocked!
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Yough flashes Mayne a smile before throwing a beast of a right hand, straight down the pipe. Mayne's eyes follow the hand right onto his nose, taking in it's full glory... and then darkness. Mayne crumples to the floor! He's out cold! Yough punches the air and yells at the top of his lungs - yeeeeeeeeeeah!!!! This one is all over!
