The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A decent looking cross lands there for Bates.
Bates ducks under a wild hook from Freitag.
Bates swings and misses with a shot to the body
letting Freitag counter with a right hand.
Luigi Bates seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Freitag needs to keep his hands up - Bates had a free shot at his head there.
It looks like Mike Freitag has been cut.
Freitag seems to be moving with more speed, compared to his last bout. He must have been working on that in the gym.
Bates connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Freitag's hands.
Nice uppercut there from Bates.
Bates sees an opening and throws a straight punch right through Freitag's defenses. It connects perfectly with Freitag's jaw and knocks him out cold! Wow - that's a contender for knockout of the year - absolutely brutal!

During a confident post fight interview, Luigi Bates thanked all his fans. He seemed very genuine when describing how motivated his fans keep him.
In defeat, Mike Freitag stepped up to the mic, saying 'Losing a fight sucks hard, anyway... I´ll be back stronger for sure!'.
