Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Aaron Bryan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Lou Alex (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Alex is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Charged up. Lou Alex struggled to make weight for this fight. He only made it down to 156.4lbs at the first attempt and had to take the additional two hours to make the official bout weight. Let's see how much it's taken out of him. Lou Alex looks lathargic as he enters the arena. Wake up son, you're about to have a fight!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Aaron Bryan! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Lou Alex! The judges for this bout are Yves DeLean, Robert Douchet and Elvis Blanc.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Bryan goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo. Alex looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight! Alex defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Bryan. Bryan lands a body shot.
Bryan misses with a few strikes there.
Alex is definitely looking for the counter takedowns here. Bryan misses with a low kick. A momentary lapse in concentration from Alex enables Bryan to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Alex manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat. Bryan won't allow Alex to sweep him here. Bryan works a leg free and moves into half guard. Bryan is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Bryan wants to control but Alex is keeping him busy.
That's one minute gone in the round. Bryan working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that. Alex on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound. Alex avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Bryan. Alex is staying active underneath Bryan, who seems content to just control the action from this position. Bryan looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Alex with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position. Bryan is trying to control. Alex wants to improve his position but can't escape this time. Bryan scores with a couple of good hammerfists. Bryan has improved his flexibility recently so we will have to see if he can use that to his advantage. Bryan knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Alex on the ground. Bryan with a momentary lay and pray from half guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Bryan not landing any meaningful shots this time. Alex tries to strike from the bottom but it doesn't land. Alex won't allow Bryan to pass to mount. Bryan thows a huge punch but Alex dodges it nicely.
The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity. Bryan throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Alex's waist but Alex gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Bryan off to one side. Bryan tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Bryan shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Bryan showed some decent athleticism there. Alex won't allow Bryan to pass to mount.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Bryan seems to be working for a kimura but Alex defends the submission attempt. Bryan wants to work for an arm triangle but Alex is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.

Bryan is just content to waste time from the top position. Alex takes advantage of the situation and regains full guard. Bryan has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Alex is proving hard to escape from.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Bryan slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard. We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup. Bryan trying to control but Alex is working from the bottom.
The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet. Bryan moves to clinch but Alex breaks away so Alex counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Bryan not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Aaron Bryan dominated that round. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.
Bryan misses with a body kick. Alex is looking for the big counter here. Alex tries to keep at a distance but Bryan has taken the fight into the clinch. Bryan is trying to break the clinch but Alex is controlling him. Bryan tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked. Alex has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Bryan is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet. Alex tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Bryan smiles and moves away.
Bryan throws a head kick that misses. Bryan is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Alex can do to turn this around? Alex avoids the head kick by Bryan.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. The fight stays on the outside here - Bryan looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Alex is breathing heavily. Bryan closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Alex quickly recovers to half guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Bryan seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Alex does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. Bryan lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt. Bryan decides to stand up and try his luck on the feet. Bryan clinches with his opponent.

Bryan escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Bryan tries to clinch but Alex moves out of range.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Alex stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Alex wants it to stay on the feet. Alex tries to counter by closing the distance. Alex shoots in and gets a takedown into Bryan's guard. Bryan manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Alex manages to get himself to full guard.

Alex is looking to escape. Aaron Bryan overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Bryan scoring with strikes to the body and head. Bryan is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
Alex looks like he's trying to stand up.
Alex tries to strike from the bottom but it doesn't land. Bryan is keen to just control but Alex is a slippery customer. Bryan looks to score some points with some ground and pound. Alex is refusing to be controlled, as Bryan sits in half guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity. Bryan attempts a leg kick but it's missed by a good margin. No luck with that takedown attempt from Bryan. Alex lets it all go there with a big combo counter but none of the punches connected. Bryan fails with an attempt to clinch.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! A left and a right from Alex both land. Nice combination. Alex moves out of range as Bryan strikes. Alex dodges the punch combination from Bryan.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Aaron Bryan dominated that second round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. Let's hear some noise people - this is the final round!
Alex checks the leg kick. Bryan tries to clinch up but Alex circles away and keeps his distance. Bryan is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Alex tries to counter with a clinch but Bryan shakes him off and moves away. Bryan moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.
Alex is rocked! Bryan shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat. Alex is still in real trouble! Can Bryan finish him? Bryan pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Alex is keeping the position for now. Bryan seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up. Bryan working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound. Bryan makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard. Bryan lands a couple of decent looking shots. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Bryan gets to his feet and stands over Alex, holding his ankles. He dives in with a big left hand that connects! Alex felt that one! Bryan unloads more punches and elbows and this one is over! The ref has dived in to save Alex from any more punishment!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:55 of round 3, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Aaron Bryan!
