Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Sparky Anderson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bittor Xavier (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Anderson comes to the cage accompanied by Lamb of God - Walk With Me In Hell. Xavier is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Jane's Addiction- Mountain Song. This should be fireworks!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
29 - 23 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Sparky Anderson! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
36 - 37 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Bittor Xavier! The judges for this bout are William Peck, Yves DeLean and Robert Douchet.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Xavier shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Anderson is trying to defend but Xavier finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further. Xavier is working for a kimura but Anderson is defending it quite comfortably.
Anderson wants to improve his position but Xavier is controlling well.
Anderson moves into full guard.
Xavier throwing strikes but missing. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Xavier has gone for a leg lock! Anderson slips out almost immediately though and dives into Xavier's guard. Anderson looking to sit in guard and control but Xavier gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. Xavier trying to control but Anderson is working from the bottom.
That's one minute gone in the round. Anderson is controlling Xavier's posture. Anderson looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Xavier must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Xavier chips away with some ground and pound. Anderson is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Anderson looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Anderson avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Xavier wants to pass the guard but Anderson is keeping the position. Xavier throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Xavier trying to control the position from guard on top but Anderson is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Xavier passes Anderson's right leg, so he's now in half guard. Anderson trying to control from the bottom.

Anderson tries to roll over but Xavier keeps him under control.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Anderson is refusing to be controlled, as Xavier sits in half guard. Anderson trying to control here.
Xavier trying to pass the guard but Anderson defending well. Anderson slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work. Xavier trying to control the position from guard on top but Anderson is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Anderson controlling the position. Xavier preventing the sweep. Xavier tries to free his leg and advance position but Anderson is retaining full guard. Anderson tries to land a sweep but no joy.
The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Xavier uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Anderson. And Xavier tries to counter it with a takedown but Anderson pushes his down on his head and steps out. Xavier bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. Anderson is trying to control Xavier's posture but Xavier avoids it. Xavier thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. Xavier trying to control the position but Anderson is working away. Anderson on the wrong end of some ground and pound. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Anderson tries to bench press Xavier off him but Xavier keeps the position. Anderson tries to slip a leg under to move to half guard but Xavier presses down on the leg and jumps into full mount! Anderson tries to hold on but Xavier postures up. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Bittor Xavier dominated that round. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
Xavier fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Anderson avoids it really well and circles away. Xavier shoots in for a takedown but Anderson shows good takedown defense. Xavier shoots for a takedown but Anderson saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Anderson attempts a counter takedown but Xavier avoids it well and moves away. Sparky Anderson has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Bittor Xavier. Anderson throws a body kick that sends a sickening thudding noise reverberating around the arena. Anderson scores with a jab. Xavier acknowledges it with a nod of the head. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Xavier has his takedown stuffed so Anderson counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility. Hammerfist, elbow! yells Anderson's corner. There ya go! There ya go!

Anderson slips effortlessly into side control - very nice. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Anderson is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Xavier has escaped the position, nice work there. Anderson trying to control the position but Xavier is working away. Xavier takes a nasty elbow to the side of the head. Xavier is not content to let Anderson control the position. Xavier tries to bench press Anderson off him but Anderson keeps the position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Anderson cracks Xavier with a big right hand but Xavier just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.
Anderson scores with a couple of nice shots to the head there. The referee takes a look at Xavier to see if he's OK. Anderson is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Xavier is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now. Xavier is not content to let Anderson control the position. Anderson is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Xavier is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him. Anderson has hold of Xavier's arm. He's looking for a kimura. Xavier seems comfortable defending it but Anderson has shifted his position slighty and is cranking on the arm! Xavier is real pain and he's forced to tap out! Xavier is disgusted with himself for not defending it better but Anderson couldn't care less - he's delighted!
