Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Keisuke Takasugi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Herman Mudgett (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
15 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Keisuke Takasugi! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
9 - 6 - 0, fighting out of London, Herman Mudgett! The judges for this bout are Donald Grub, James Ackerman and William Gold.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Mudgett throws a right and a left that both miss. Takasugi takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Mudgett throws an overhand right that lands on Takasugi's shoulder, as Takasugi tries to avoid the shot. Mudgett throws out a token jab with nothing on it. Takasugi needs to keep his hands up - Mudgett had a free shot at his head there. Mudgett misses with a straight left. Mudgett tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Mudgett throws a nice outside leg kick. We've been informed that Mudgett has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result. Ouch! a nice leg kick from Mudgett, right into the meat.
Mudgett pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Takasugi changes levels looking for a counter takedown but doesn't commit. Takasugi moves out of range as Mudgett strikes. Mudgett misses with a double jab
and Takasugi counters with a single leg into guard. Mudgett didn't expect that. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Takasugi controls the pace of the fight for a moment. Takasugi is in close to Mudgett's body, working some short punches and elbows.
That's one minute gone in the round. Mudgett manages to escape and get back to his feet.
Takasugi uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Mudgett. Mudgett throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. Mudgett connects with a right hand. Takasugi shakes it off. Nice straight punches there by Mudgett. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Mudgett. A swing and a miss from Mudgett. Takasugi half commits to a counter takedown before pushing away, out of range. Takasugi looks to land a combination. Mudgett sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots. Takasugi has been working on his boxing with his coaches at The Barracks - LOD in the buildup to the fight. Mudgett throws a shot from downtown. Takasugi moves away and avoids it. Mudgett throws a leg kick and Takasugi counters with a takedown into side control! That could mean trouble for Mudgett! Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Takasugi looking to punish the body of his opponent here but Mudgett is avoiding damage well.
Takasugi has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Takasugi goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Mudgett rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Takasugi's guard! Nice work there by Mudgett! Mudgett stands up from guard. Let's bang!
That's two minutes gone in the round. Takasugi uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Mudgett. Mudgett looks to land a combination but Takasugi avoids it well. Mudgett throws the left hand but Takasugi avoids the punch easily. Takasugi blocks a jab. Takasugi tries to counter with a takedown but Mudgett is quick to defend against it. Nice defenses there by Takasugi. Mudgett misses with an uppercut. Takasugi saw that one coming. Mudgett throws a right and a left that both miss. Mudgett misses with a leg kick and Takasugi counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. Takasugi trying to control but Mudgett is working from the bottom. Mudgett can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Takasugi controls the pace. Mudgett is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Takasugi is controlling him.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Takasugi's corner is telling him to maintain position. Takasugi won't allow Mudgett to get back to his feet. Takasugi slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard. Takasugi's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Mudgett lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head. Takasugi dives in for a single leg takedown but Mudgett sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage. Mudgett throws a nice looking combination but Takasugi bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Mudgett fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Takasugi wants to take advantage of his opponent's missed offense by moving into the clinch. Mudgett fakes with the hands and throws a leg kick but Takasugi is out of range. Mudgett drops Takasugi with a beautiful combination! Takasugi stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Mudgett is looking for the KO!
Takasugi is rocked!
It looks like Keisuke Takasugi has been cut. Takasugi moves out of range as Mudgett strikes. Oh Takasugi is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Sloppy strikes from Mudgett. Those never looked like landing. Mudgett fakes the leg kick and throws a superman punch. It's knocked Takasugi out cold! Brutal finish!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:42 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Superman Punch). Herman Mudgett! A very excited looking Herman Mudgett made sure he remembered to thank all the fans both in the arena and on the internet. He said all the coolest people spend all day on MMA websites, which got a big reaction.
