Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Bobby Butcher (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Will Tickel (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
24 - 19 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Bobby Butcher! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
10 - 11 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Will Tickel! The judges for this bout are Andrew Berry, Richard Clark and Colin Fotheringham.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Butcher moves into the clinch successfully.
Tickel tries for a takedown but Butcher manages to get underhooks.
Tickel wants to take the fight to the mat but Butcher manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch. Tickel working aggressively here.
Butcher lands with a short shot to the head. Tickel can't get the takedown.
Bobby Butcher has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Will Tickel. Butcher manages to break the clinch.
Butcher stuffs the takedown. Butcher tries to clinch but Tickel is having none of it. Butcher misses with a body kick. Butcher lands the left hand. Butcher takes the fight into the clinch. Butcher has Tickel pushed against the cage. Butcher breaks from the clinch.
Butcher keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Butcher tries a head kick but it misses.
That's one minute gone in the round. Tickel shoots in looking for a takedown. Butcher tries to sprawl out of it but Tickel keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Butcher manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Tickel looks to score with a jab to the body but Butcher is just out of range. Tickel drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard. Butcher keeping moving, preventing Tickel from controlling successfully. Butcher is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far. Tickel trying to control the position from guard on top but Butcher is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Tickel has gone for a leg lock! Butcher slips out almost immediately though and dives into Tickel's guard. Butcher looking to pass the guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Tickel keeping moving, preventing Butcher from controlling successfully. Tickel looking to hit a scissor sweep but Butcher is one step ahead there. Tickel manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Butcher manages to get himself to full guard.
Tickel tries to free his leg and advance position but Butcher is retaining full guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Tickel seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up. Tickel is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Tickel wants to control from the top but Butcher keeps moving. Tickel drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Butcher dives on top into guard.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Butcher wanted to stand there but Tickel had control of the position. Tickel escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Butcher gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Butcher sitting in guard here, content to control.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Butcher wants to stand but Tickel has a closed guard, so he can't escape. Butcher preventing the sweep. Butcher is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions. Tickel has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Butcher can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Butcher got a little sloppy there for a moment and Tickel has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Butcher has managed to get both his arms back between Tickel's legs - danger averted. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Bobby Butcher dominated that round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
Tickel fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Butcher throws a head kick that misses. Tickel shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Butcher defends it nicely. Wow, both these guys are really going for it! Tickel shoots in and bounces Butcher off the cage to secure the takedown into guard. Butcher might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Butcher keeping moving, preventing Tickel from controlling successfully. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Tickel is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully.
That's one minute gone in the round. Tickel sitting in guard here, content to control. Butcher is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. My spies in Cylon Training Academy inform me that Tickel has been getting involved in the gym's BJJ sparring sessions. Let's see whether that pays dividends! Tickel wants to pass the guard but Butcher is keeping the position. Tickel prevents Butcher from getting back to his feet. We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup. Butcher looks to be in better condition than last time we saw him fight. Obviously he's been working hard on his cardio. Butcher keeping full guard, as Tickel tries to pass.
The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet. Butcher throws a nice head kick!

That's two minutes gone in the round. Tickel dives in for a single leg takedown but Butcher sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage. Bobby Butcher has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Will Tickel. Tickel shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Butcher sprawls well. Butcher wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Tickel gets slowly back to his feet. Tickel is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Butcher's half guard. Butcher is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Tickel can do to turn this around? Butcher wants to get back to his feet.
Tickel wants to pass to mount but Butcher is defending the position. Tickel is working for a kimura but Butcher is defending it quite comfortably.
Tickel is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Butcher has managed to free his arm - good work.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Tickel thows a huge punch but Butcher dodges it nicely.
Butcher is trying to stand back up but Tickel is controlling him
Tickel thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Butcher's head. Tickel is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Tickel throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Tickel is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Butcher is just riding it out for now. Tickel eventually gives up the hold. Tickel in half guard on the top. He's looking for a kimura... He's got it locked and he's managed to free his trapped foot. Butcher tries to escape but it's on too tight and he has to tap! Great BJJ skills there from Tickel!
