Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between The Kurgan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Saul Tigh (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 8 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, The Kurgan!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 9 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Saul Tigh!
The judges for this bout are Alyssa Summers, Columbo Gatti and Russell Pearce.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kurgan scores with a jab to the head.
Kurgan misses with an uppercut. Tigh saw that one coming.
Kurgan looks to score with a jab to the body but Tigh is just out of range.
Kurgan throws a series of punches but Tigh moves out of range.
Kurgan throws an overhand right that lands on Tigh's shoulder, as Tigh tries to avoid the shot.
Tigh getting the better of the striking in that exchange.
A cross from Kurgan lands.
Kurgan cracks Tigh with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.
Kurgan misses with a body shot
and Tigh counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Kurgan thinking.
Kurgan definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
Tigh throws a series of punches but Kurgan avoids them all with ease.
A quick step to the side and Kurgan tries to counter with a shot to the body but it doesn't connect.
A shot to the liver by Kurgan. Beautiful body shot.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Tigh slips a jab from Kurgan.
Tigh looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it.
Tigh misses with a series of wild punches.
Kurgan jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Kurgan moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.
Tigh slips under a jab.
Kurgan takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Kurgan is breathing heavily.
Kurgan walks into a left hand.
Kurgan lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Tigh circles away quickly and effectively.
Tigh scores with a decent looking hook.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Tigh cracks Kurgan with a nasty uppercut that draws ooohs from the crowd and sends Kurgan tumbling backwards onto the mat. He tries to recover but Tigh pounces and lands a hail of unanswered strikes that forces the referee to step in to end the fight! Kurgan is not happy but he gave the referee no choice!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:07 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Saul Tigh!

In defeat, The Kurgan stepped up to the mic, saying 'Another time, Highlander!'.
