And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
6 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Andres Gatmaitan!
The judges for this bout are Roger Salmon, Paul Gruel and Jeff Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gatmaitan throws a right hand that Sokoudjou ducks under and follows up with a left that Sokoudjou also avoids with ease.
Gatmaitan scores with a body shot.
Gatmaitan misses with a leg kick
and Sokoudjou counters with a left and a right that hurts Gatmaitan! He wobbles and falls to the floor - he's in big trouble! Sokoudjou jumps into full mount!
Gatmaitan is rocked!
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Sokoudjou postures up and throws a massive shot that knocks Gatmaitan out cold! Two more strikes to his unconscious opponent for good luck and this one is all over! Sokoudjou goes absolutely crazy with his corner! Wow, you can see how much that win means to him!
