Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Jamaal Charles (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Teddy Dean (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. Keep your eyes on the prize buddy or you'll miss the fighter intros!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Jamaal Charles! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
6 - 4 - 0, fighting out of London, Teddy Dean! The judges for this bout are James Ackerman, Chris Edwards and William Gold.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Charles moves into the clinch. Charles manages to break the clinch.
Charles loads up on a big right hand but Dean slips the punch. Charles looks to land a combination but Dean avoids it well. Charles throws a nice looking combination but Dean bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Dean with the counter takedown but Charles avoids it easily. A slapping leg kick lands for Charles.

Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Charles, as that shot connected.
Jamaal Charles seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Charles throws a nice inside leg kick. Charles tries to close the distance and clinch up but Dean swats him away and circles back towards the center. Dean tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away. Charles thows a leg kick but Dean checks it and Dean counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Dean. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Charles pushes Dean off for just long enough to get back to his feet. Very athletic spring there.

Dean changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt. Charles feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Dean's calf. Charles pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Dean is definitely looking for the counter takedowns here. Charles lands with an uppercut that bounces Dean off the cage and back into range. Charles lands a head kick!
We've been told by Charles's head coaches at The Highland Gym that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight. A jab from Charles misses. Dean walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush. Charles tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and Dean is able to avoid easily. Dean dodges the punch combination from Charles.

Charles shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Charles showed some decent athleticism there. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Charles is trying to get back to his feet now but his leg is trapped.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Dean is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Charles pulls his head out easily. Charles decides to stand and escape the position. Charles throws out a powerful jab. Charles chopping away at his opponent's legs.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Charles misses with a series of wild punches.
Dean drops down looking to force a counter takedown but Charles defends it well. Charles closes the distance and pushes Dean back into the cage. Charles escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Charles moves into range and lands a nice leg kick. Charles feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Deans jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist! Charles will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

At least for now. Dean trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Charles wants to stand but Dean is controlling the position. Charles just stands there and leans against the cage. Dean goes for a takedown attempt but Charles pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.

Dean is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Charles defends it well. Charles is trying to stand back up but Dean is controlling him

Charles feints and then cracks Dean's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Dean down. Charles throws a one two combo.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Nice straight punches there by Charles. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Charles. A head kick misses from Charles. Charles lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Charles. Charles looks to throw the jab but Dean is out of range. Dean takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Dean goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Charles rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Dean's guard! Nice work there by Charles! Dean is looking for a triangle but Charles pushes his legs off easily.
Charles gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent. Charles fails to land with a series of punches.
Dean changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt. A left lands for Charles. Charles lands with a kick to the temple. Dean shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?" Teddy Dean has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Jamaal Charles is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Dean stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Charles.
And that's the end of the fight! Jamaal Charles showed his dominance in that final round. Well Charles has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
