Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Khadzhimurat Gatsalov!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Bjorn Ragnar!
The judges for this bout are Richard Clark, James Glass and Chris Edwards.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gatsalov jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Ragnar throws a hook to the side of Gatsalov's head but Gatsalov sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Gatsalov misses with a head kick.
Ragnar swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made.

Gatsalov clinches with his opponent.
Ragnar lands with a right to the head.
A nice left hand lands by Ragnar.
Ragnar lands a hook that snaps the head of Gatsalov backwards.

Gatsalov breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Ragnar has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.
Gatsalov misses with a body kick.
Gatsalov has been working on his boxing with his coaches at Wolf Training Lair in the buildup to the fight.
Khadzhimurat Gatsalov seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
A decent looking cross lands there for Ragnar.
Gatsalov uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Ragnar.
Gatsalov throws a body shot but no joy.
Ragnar lands a jab-cross combination.


It looks like Khadzhimurat Gatsalov has been cut.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Ragnar connects with a jab.
Gatsalov is looking to land body kicks.
Gatsalov misses with a left hand
and Ragnar counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.

Ragnar jabs. That one connects to the head of his opponent.
Ragnar throws an overhand right that lands on Gatsalov's shoulder, as Gatsalov tries to avoid the shot.
Gatsalov goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.
Ragnar looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it.
Ragnar thows a leg kick but Gatsalov checks it
and Gatsalov counters with an outside leg kick.
Gatsalov throws a body shot but no joy.
Ragnar now looks to counter with a shot at the body.
Ragnar takes a swing at Gatsalov's ribcage but misses.
Gatsalov throws a low kick but Ragnar moves out of range easily.
Gatsalov ducks down and throws a hook to the body.
Ragnar swings widly with a right hand
and Gatsalov connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Ragnar on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.
Ragnar loads up on a big right hand but Gatsalov slips the punch.
Gatsalov lands with an uppercut that bounces Ragnar off the cage and back into range.
Gatsalov throws out a powerful jab.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Ragnar on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.
A solid leg kick lands there for Ragnar.
Gatsalov is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
A kick lands to the mid section there for Gatsalov.
Ragnar misses with a jab, cross combination.
A chopping leg kick lands by Gatsalov.
Ragnar works Gatsalov's body with a nice hook.
Gatsalov tries to clinch up but Ragnar circles away and keeps his distance.
Ragnar on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere.

Gatsalov closes the distance and pushes Ragnar back into the cage.
Gatsalov misses with a hook to the ribs.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Gatsalov misses with a short punch on the inside.
An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Gatsalov.
Gatsalov misses with a punch on the inside.
Ragnar tries a knee to the head but Gatsalov blocks it.
Gatsalov blocks a body shot from Ragnar.
Gatsalov missing with knees to the body.
Gatsalov fails to land with a short punch on the inside.
A head punch blocked on the inside by Gatsalov.
Gatsalov throws a head punch that misses.
With the fighters up against the cage, Gatsalov throws an elbow but misses.
Gatsalov blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning.
Gatsalov lands a shoulder strike that jolts his opponent's head backwards.

Gatsalov manages to break the clinch.
Ragnar changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.
Ragnar thuds a left hand into Gatsalov's body.
Gatsalov shoots and misses
and Ragnar counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Gatsalov scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Gatsalov throws a looping overhand right but Ragnar ducks down to avoid it.
Ragnar staying out of range there.
Gatsalov scores with a jab to the body.
Ragnar connects with a crisp jab.
A chopping leg kick lands by Ragnar.
Gatsalov looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it.
The fight stays on the outside here - Gatsalov looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Ragnar fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Gatsalov pivots, looking for a leg kick but Ragnar is out of range and Gatsalov settles back down.
Ragnar moves out of range as Gatsalov strikes.
Ragnar moves away from the strike by Gatsalov.
Ragnar moves out of range as Gatsalov throws a body kick.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Khadzhimurat Gatsalov will probably get the nod.
The cut man is working on Khadzhimurat Gatsalov's cut.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.


Gatsalov misses with a shot to the body
and Ragnar counters with a three punch combo that has Gatsalov backing up. Gatsalov nods at Ragnar to acknowledge the strikes.
Gatsalov gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Ragnar counters with a left to the body.
Horrible takedown attempt by Gatsalov or perhaps it was just good defense by Ragnar, which made it look bad.
Gatsalov misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Gatsalov throws a sloppy head kick
and Ragnar counters with a nice uppercut.
Ragnar bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Gatsalov's head backwards.


Gatsalov is rocked!
Ragnar shakes his hands by his side, trying to relax. Gatsalov takes his eyes off the ball for a moment - Ragnar sees the opportunity and cracks him with a massive hook! Gatsalov bends double and collapses on top of himself - he's out! The crowd are going absolutely nuts! Wow, what a knockout!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:42 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Bjorn Ragnar!
