Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Mamed Khalidov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jason Lee (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Khalidov comes to the ring accompanied by Mamed - CoreMoon. Lee is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Wiley - Take That. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the middleweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
12 - 11 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Mamed Khalidov! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
39 - 33 - 1, fighting out of London, Jason Lee! The judges for this bout are Tatsuya Matsuyama, Sosuke Kotani and Taro Takaoka.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Lee cracks the inside of Khalidov's front leg. Jason Lee seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Lee tries a head kick but it misses.
Khalidov uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Lee. Khalidov seems to be moving with more speed, compared to his last bout. He must have been working on that in the gym. It connects and Khalidov has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage. Lee throws a body shot but no joy. Khalidov drops down looking for a counter takedown but Lee sprawls and moves away. Lee throws a nice outside leg kick. Lee throws a shot from downtown. Khalidov moves away and avoids it. Khalidov feinted with a counter takedown. Lee misses the jab. Lee lands a body shot.
Khalidov takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Khalidov avoids a punch combination nicely.
Khalidov drops down looking for a counter takedown but Lee sprawls and moves away. Khalidov is trying hard to land a takedown here. Lee sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. Lee scores with a nice strike. Lee scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
That's one minute gone in the round. Lee lands a lovely overhand right. Khalidov takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt. A jab lands there for Lee. A punch combination from Lee misses. Khalidov closes the distance and clinches up with Lee, looking for a takedown. Khalidov pushes Lee against the ropes but Lee circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Lee misses with a hook. Lee fails in his attempt to clinch. Lee thows a leg kick but Khalidov checks it and Khalidov counters with a takedown into side control. Lee can't do much from the bottom here. This has been an exciting period of action! Lee tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Khalidov wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control. Who's going to make the next move? Lee is trying to get back to half guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Khalidov tries to move into full mount but can't pass Lee's legs. Khalidov advances nicely into full mount. The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves. Lee is looking to get to half guard. Khalidov looking to control but Lee is working nicely, looking to advance position himself. Lee is looking to get back to his feet - it's going to be hard from this position. Khalidov trying to control but Lee is having none of it.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Lee is trying desperately to improve position. Lee gets back to half guard. Lee is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Khalidov is trying to control the action in half guard but Lee is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard. Lee tries to roll over but Khalidov keeps him under control. The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring. Lee manages to get to full guard.

That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Lee controls Khalidov momentarily but Khalidov frees himself. Lee looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Lee seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now. Lee is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity. Lee throws a lazy head kick and Khalidov counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Khalidov. Lee has his hands on Khalidov's head, controlling the position. Lee has thrown up a leg looking for a triangle. Khalidov doesn't defend quickly enough and Lee has managed to lock this one up! Can Khalidov escape?! NO! He's tapping out! Damn, that was a quick submission - congrats to Lee on a fantastic submission victory.
