The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Gene misses with some punches.
Kasperski gets underhooks to prevent Gene's takedown attempt.

Kasperski looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Kasperski lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Gene circles away quickly and effectively.
It looked like Gene wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.
Gene just misses with a punch to the body.

Kasperski lets it all go there with a big combo counter but none of the punches connected.
Kasperski is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
A swing and a miss from Gene.
Kasperski looks to land a combination. Gene sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.

It looks like Aleixo Gene has been cut.
Gene misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Kasperski throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Gene.
Kasperski works Gene's body with a nice hook.
Gene throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Gene looks to land a left hand but Kasperski moved out of range nicely.
Kasperski scores to the head and body with a nice combination!
Aleixo Gene seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Kasperski throws a right and a left that Gene avoids nicely.
Gene misses with a hook
and Kasperski counters with a left and a right that stings Gene.
Kasperski tries to bum rush Gene with a series of wild strikes but Gene uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

Gene throws out a leg kick but Kasperski moves out of range and Gene only half commits.

Kasperski throws a left that rocks Gene and follows with a right that sends him tumbling to the canvas! Kasperski dives into side control, looking to finish! Can Gene regain composure!

Kasperski cracks Gene with a big elbow. Oh, he's hurt! Kasperski immediately mounts and start dropping bombs! Gene is done! The referee jumps in and saves him from any more punishment - a quick and decisive finish by Kasperski!
