Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Mike Lie (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Percival Pacaldo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Lie kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is we right here. Mike Lie has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

6 - 43 - 1, fighting out of Tokyo, Mike Lie! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Percival Pacaldo! The judges for this bout are Taro Takaoka, Ren Mimura and Yukihiro Yamamoto.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Lie tries a head kick but it misses.
Lie moves out of range as Pacaldo throws a body kick.
Pacaldo clinches. Pacaldo breaks from the clinch.
Pacaldo gets a double leg takedown into Lie's guard. Lie is looking to stand up but Pacaldo isn't so interested in that idea. Pacaldo with a flurry of punches that miss. Lie wants to stand and escape but Pacaldo is having none of it. Pacaldo is looking to work some ground and pound but Lie has wrist control. Pacaldo prevents Lie from getting back to his feet. Pacaldo is looking to stand up but Lie won't let him. Pacaldo won't allow Lie to get back to his feet. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Pacaldo scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard. Lie blocks a head kick by Pacaldo.
Lie looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight. Lie closes the distance and pushes Pacaldo back into the ropes. Lie has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate. Pacaldo can't get the takedown.

Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Lie walks away with a smile on his face. Pacaldo gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head. Pacaldo gets in close and instigates a clinch. Pacaldo misses with a punch to the body.
Lie's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Pacaldo misses with a low kick. Pacaldo is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Lie looks to land a combination but Pacaldo avoids it well. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Lie gets in close and instigates a clinch. Lie is trying to break the clinch but Pacaldo is controlling him. Lie has had enough of the clinch but Pacaldo keeps him there for the moment. Pacaldo manages to break the clinch.
Mike Lie is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Pacaldo pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way. Lie went nuts there looking for a big combo counter but none of the flurry connected. Pacaldo blocks a leg kick. The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Lie checks a leg kick. Lie moves into range and clinches up with Pacaldo. Lie is trying to push Pacaldo away but Pacaldo has him pressed against the ropes, so he's going nowhere. Pacaldo keeps control of Lie as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks. Lie is looking to break free of the clinch but Pacaldo has double underhooks. Lie is trying to break the clinch but Pacaldo is controlling him. Pacaldo prevents Lie from breaking the clinch. Lie wants to get back to striking at distance but Pacaldo won't allow it.
Pacaldo lands with a short head shot on the inside. Lie tries to break free but Pacaldo pushes him back against the ropes. Lie wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.

Lie is fighting off a takedown attempt but Pacaldo is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Lie to the mat. Lie regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat. Pacaldo stops Lie from standing up. The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring. Pacaldo wants to stand but Lie has a closed guard, so he can't escape. Pacaldo stands up and waves to Lie to follow him. We've been informed that Pacaldo has been working hard on his conditioning in the buildup to the fight. A punch combination from Pacaldo misses. A head kick misses from Lie. Lie pushes Pacaldo up against the ropes in a clinch. Pacaldo changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Lie fights it off and pushes away nicely.

A head kick misses from Lie. Pacaldo throws a half hearted mid kick. Percival Pacaldo seems to be getting the better of the standup. Sloppy strikes from Lie. Those never looked like landing. Pacaldo connects with a single shot there. A nice inside leg kick there by Pacaldo. That's going to slow Lie down. Pacaldo clinches up against the ropes. Pacaldo has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Pacaldo lands a left hand.
Lie is trying to break the clinch but Pacaldo has him pressed against the ropes. Pacaldo is working for takedown but Lie is calmly controlling the position for now. Lie escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

That's one minute gone in the round. Pacaldo decides he's had enough of the ground and stands up. Pacaldo shoots in and gets a takedown into Lie's guard. Lie wants to stand but Pacaldo is controlling the position. Pacaldo throws a big right hand that misses. Pacaldo wanted to stand there but Lie had control of the position. Pacaldo is in close to Lie's body, working some short punches and elbows. Percival Pacaldo has got the better of the ground game so far. Pacaldo with a nice head shot there. Pacaldo postures up and lands some nice ground and pound. Lie wants to stand up but Pacaldo is controlling him. Pacaldo gets to his feet. Lie looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. Lie drops Pacaldo with a beautiful combination! Pacaldo stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Lie is looking for the KO!
Pacaldo is rocked! The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Pacaldo takes a swing at Lie's ribcage but misses. Pacaldo is still on wobbly legs! Can Lie finish him? A head kick misses from Lie. Pacaldo pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way. Lie appears to be looking for a big counter. Lie tries to keep at a distance but Pacaldo has taken the fight into the clinch. Lie tries to break the clinch but Pacaldo is controlling the position. Lie is trying to break free. Pacaldo seems to have recovered his senses. Lie wants to break free but Pacaldo has control.
Pacaldo creates a bit of distance and throws an elbow that only just misses. Pacaldo tries to pull guard but Lie holds him up against the ropes and eventually Pacaldo drops back down to his feet.

Both fighters are breathing heavily. Pacaldo gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here. Pacaldo is trying to pull guard but Lie has him pressed against the ropes. Pacaldo turns his hips and lands a very nice judo throw into side control! Lie is trying to buck Pacaldo off. Pacaldo is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Lie knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

He's almost out here... but no, Pacaldo gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control. Pacaldo decides to stand up, so the ref orders Lie to his feet. Pacaldo closes the distance and pushes Lie back into the ropes. Pacaldo is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the ropes enables Lie to keep the fight standing. Lie might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Lie wants to get up but he can't break Pacaldo's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.
The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity. Pacaldo moves into the clinch. Pacaldo is trying to slow down the pace in the clinch, to catch his breath. Pacaldo tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Lie smiles and moves away.

Pacaldo rushes Lie and pushes him back against the ropes in a clinch. Percival Pacaldo seems to be working more effectively in the clinch in the fight so far. Lie is trying to break free. Pacaldo keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Lie's efforts to push away. Pacaldo tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Lie just stands there and leans against the ropes. Lie breaks the clinch.
Lie moves into the clinch. Pacaldo breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Pacaldo throws a body shot but no joy. Lie has taken the fight to the clinch.
Pacaldo jumps guard but Lie turns him against the ropes and keeps the fight standing. Pacaldo turns his hips and lands a very nice judo throw into side control! Lie explodes and escapes back to his feet! Nice escape there!

Lie wants to get back to his feet but Pacaldo is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
And that's the end of the fight! I would just about give that final round to Percival Pacaldo. I think Pacaldo has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
