The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Erschov tries to clinch up.

Hall throws a front kick aimed at Erschov's knee but Erschov avoids it well.

Erschov closes the distance and clinches up with Hall, looking for a takedown. Erschov pushes Hall against the ropes but Hall circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Hall rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Erschov moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

and Hall connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Erschov walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.
Hall cracks Erschov with a big right hand and Erschov goes down!
Erschov is rocked!
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Hall wants to stand but Erschov has a closed guard, so he can't escape.
Erschov seems to have recovered his senses.
Erschov had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Hall defends it easily.

Hall is looking to stand up but Erschov won't let him.
Hall decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Erschov, up you get!

The fight stays on the outside here - Erschov looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Erschov fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Erschov tries to score a power double leg takedown but Hall sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Erschov somewhat.
Erschov shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Hall but Hall pushes him off and we're back to square one.

Erschov on the wrong end of a nice hook.
Hall connects with a right hand. Erschov shakes it off.
Hall is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches.
I'm just looking down at my notes here and I see that.... oh! Hall has cracked Erschov with a big right, followed by a left! He's out on his feet! Hall lands another huge swinging hook and Erschov tumbles to the canvas! The ref dives in to save Erschov, before Hall can land any more shots!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:18 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Jesse Hall!
