Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Phil Harris (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Cameron Poe (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Poe is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by How it is done. This should be a great matchup!

With a record of 17 - 20 - 1, fighting out of Tokyo, Phil Harris!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 16 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Cameron Poe!
The judges for this bout are Yukihiro Yamamoto, Hirohito Nitta and Kenichi Hosakawa.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Harris pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Poe misses with a leg kick
and Harris counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Harris steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Poe.
Harris was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger.
Poe misses with a hook. Harris ducked under it nicely.
Harris slips a jab from Poe.
Harris appears to be looking for a counter takedown.
Cameron Poe seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Poe connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.

Poe dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Harris. That did some damage!

Cameron Poe is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Poe swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Poe feints and then cracks Harris's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Harris down.

Harris tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Poe defends well and Harris ends up having to push Poe into the ropes where they will battle it out in the clinch.

Harris half commits to a counter takedown before pushing away, out of range.

Harris closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Harris wants to pass the guard but Poe is defending well.
Harris thows a huge punch but Poe dodges it nicely.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Harris postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.

Harris ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.

Harris shoots in looking for a takedown. Poe tries to sprawl out of it but Harris keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the ropes. Poe manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Harris shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Poe but Poe pushes him off and we're back to square one.

A little feinted left hand from Harris on the counter but he doesn't commit to it.

Poe does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.

Harris is pressed against the ropes. Poe pushes back and unleashes a big elbow that really hurts Harris! Two more big strikes from Poe and Harris crumples to the mat and taps out furiously due to the strikes!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:11 of round 3, we have a winner by way of Submission (Strikes). Cameron Poe! Cameron Poe retains his welterweight title!
A relieved looking Cameron Poe thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
