Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Kipe Hanninen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Diego Marquez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Diego Marquez has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Kipe Hanninen! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Diego Marquez! The judges for this bout are Robert Twigg, Cecil Peabody and Stewart Dunkirk.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Hanninen gets in close and instigates a clinch. Hanninen softening up his opponent with strikes, against the cage. Marquez pulls guard. Hanninen stops Marquez from standing up. Marquez avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Hanninen tries to stand but Marquez is controlling from the bottom. Hanninen stands up from Marquez's guard - Hanninen perhaps looking for a knockout. Marquez gets a clinch. Marquez gets control of Hanninen's arms and successfully pulls guard. Marquez will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back. Hanninen wants to stand but Marquez is controlling his posture from full guard. Hanninen stopping the sweep attempt from Marquez.
That's one minute gone in the round. Marquez keeping moving, preventing Hanninen from controlling successfully. Hanninen has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Marquez wants to sweep but no luck. Hanninen trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Hanninen won't allow Marquez to sweep him here. Marquez is active off his back here, looking for submissions.

That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Hanninen doesn't manage to clinch there - Marquez circles away.
The fight stays on the outside here - Marquez looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Hanninen tries to close the distance and clinch but Marquez swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Hanninen shoots in for a takedown but Marquez shows good takedown defense. Hanninen scores with a nice body kick.
Marquez looks gassed! Hanninen looks for a takedown but Marquez sprawls well. Marquez misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Hanninen gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard. Hanninen wants to stand up but Marquez is controlling him. Marquez wants to stand and escape but instead Hanninen has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Hanninen trying to control the position from guard on top but Marquez is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Hanninen is looking to stand up but Marquez won't let him. Marquez wants to get back to his feet but Hanninen is in a dominant position and won't allow it. Hanninen stands up and waves to Marquez to follow him. Hanninen gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here. Marquez keeps control of Hanninen as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Hanninen pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Marquez. Hanninen keeps Marquez at a distance using the push kick. Hanninen stuffs the takedown. Hanninen lands a nice looking body kick. Hanninen bobs and weaves and then throws a good body kick. Marquez takes a head kick and keeps coming.
Marquez keeps the fight on the outside. Hanninen doesn't succeed with the takedown and Marquez counters with a takedown into side control. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Kipe Hanninen. That's going to take a lot out of him. Marquez trying to control the action but Hanninen is working from the bottom. Marquez tries to move to full mount but Hanninen actually manages to regain half guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Diego Marquez will probably get the nod. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.

Marquez has a nice red mark on his side after a thudding body kick by Hanninen. Hanninen tries to clinch up but Marquez circles away and keeps his distance. Nice takedown defense from Hanninen. No joy for Marquez on that attempt. Hanninen clinches but Marquez breaks the clinch and Marquez counters by clinching up. A battle for position here, against the cage. Hanninen connects with a nasty looking knee right to Marquez's face.

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Marquez fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Hanninen lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw. Kipe Hanninen is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Hanninen drives through and clinches with Marquez against the cage.
That's one minute gone in the round. Hanninen lands a shoulder strike. Hanninen lands a nice elbow. Hanninen wants a takedown but no success here.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Marquez is working an open guard so Hanninen takes the opportunity to get back to his feet. Marquez avoids the clinch attempt nicely.

Kipe Hanninen seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Hanninen has Marquez up against the cage in a clinch.
Marquez is trying to slow down the pace in the clinch, to catch his breath. Hanninen escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Ouch! a nice leg kick from Marquez, right into the meat.
Marquez is looking to clinch but Hanninen is avoiding it.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Marquez gets a takedown into half guard. Marquez stands up from half guard... He's had enough of that ground malarky for the time being. Hanninen takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor. Marquez closes the distance and clinches up with Hanninen, looking for a takedown. Marquez pushes Hanninen against the cage but Hanninen circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Kipe Hanninen has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Diego Marquez. Hanninen shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Hanninen showed some decent athleticism there. Marquez trying to control from the bottom.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Marquez blocking the ground and pound attempt from Hanninen. Hanninen is tying to control. Marquez wants to improve his position but can't escape this time. Marquez punching from the bottom.
Hanninen wants to stand but Marquez has hold of a leg and an arm, so he's trapped for now. Hanninen keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action. Marquez wants to get back to his feet.

That's four minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

Marquez is looking to clinch. That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Marquez crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Hanninen - the referee stops the clock and Marquez gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Hanninen. Marquez manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes. Hanninen pushes Marquez up against the cage in a clinch. Marquez tries to pull guard but Hanninen won't allow it.

Marquez takes an elbow to the temple. Marquez tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Hanninen pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Hanninen fails with an attempt to clinch.
Hanninen throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by Marquez. Hanninen is looking to clinch but Marquez is avoiding it.
Marquez swats away the attempt to clinch by Hanninen. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Kipe Hanninen dominated that second round. That's time! Hanninen's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. This is the final round!
Excellent takedown into side control there by Marquez. Marquez tries to advance to mount but Hanninen denies him. Marquez is maintaining the dominant position - no doubt Hanninen will start to get frustrated soon if he's not already. Marquez wants to stand but Hanninen has him controlled and pulls him back into his guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Both fighters are breathing heavily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Hanninen is looking for a triangle but Marquez pushes his legs off easily.
Hanninen scrambles and gets back to his feet.
The fight stays on the outside here - Marquez looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Hanninen feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Marquez's calf. Hanninen has taken the fight to the clinch.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Marquez has a closed guard, preventing Hanninen from standing up. Hanninen postures up and lands some nice ground and pound. There's a bit of a scramble here and now Marquez is on top in guard.
Marquez prevents Hanninen from getting back to his feet. Hanninen uses the cage to get back to his feet.
Marquez bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Hanninen is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here. Hanninen on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Hanninen tries to get out of the position. Hanninen tries to slip a leg under to move to half guard but Marquez presses down on the leg and jumps into full mount! Marquez scoring with some good ground and pound from mount here. Will he manage to finish Hanninen?

That's four minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Hanninen tries to hold on but Marquez postures up. Marquez controlling from mount. Marquez stands up from mount. Strange move.
And that's the end of the fight! Diego Marquez comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I think Marquez has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
