Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Sebastian Delacruz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and John Jones (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). John Jones is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 2 - 1, fighting out of New York, Sebastian Delacruz! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, John Jones! The judges for this bout are Bruno Lombardi, David Schapiro and Dean Styles.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Jones drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Delacruz sneaks out the side door and pushes Jones away - he's back to his feet. The crowd show their appreciation for the escape. Jones closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Delacruz to the mat! Delacruz manages to get full guard. Delacruz is scooting his butt against the cage and has managed to get back to his feet. Jones presses him back against the cage, presumably looking to take the fight back to the mat. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Delacruz has Jones pushed against the cage. Jones jumps guard and drags Delacruz to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back. Delacruz trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Jones has his foot on Delacruz's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Delacruz works his way back into a safe position though. Delacruz has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Delacruz missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Delacruz lands a couple of digs. Jones trying to control the position.

That's one minute gone in the round. Jones wants to sweep but no luck. Jones is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Delacruz defends well. Delacruz in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. Delacruz throwing strikes from guard but Jones blocks nicely. Delacruz throws a strike but Jones rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top. Delacruz wants to sweep but no luck. Jones seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up. Delacruz keeping moving, preventing Jones from controlling successfully.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Delacruz is edging up against the cage. He's using the cage to get back to his feet. Nice work there - the fighters are clinched. Jones goes for a takedown in the clinch but Delacruz prevents it.
Jones throws an elbow but it's blocked.
Delacruz pulls guard effortlessly. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Delacruz seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now. Delacruz wants to stand up but Jones is controlling him.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Jones tries to free his leg and advance position but Delacruz is retaining full guard. Delacruz is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Jones really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Delacruz. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Delacruz looking for a sweep. Not yet Delacruz, not yet. Delacruz is looking for a triangle but Jones pushes his legs off easily.
Delacruz uses the cage to get back to his feet.
Jones darts in and clinches Delacruz up against the cage. Delacruz pulls guard effortlessly.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Jones sitting in guard, not really doing much. Delacruz is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Delacruz wants to sweep but no luck. Jones controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling. Delacruz wants to get back to his feet but he's too absorbed in his own little project and Jones manages to pass to side control. Jones working the head and body with strikes. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Sebastian Delacruz dominated that round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
Jones throws a head kick that half lands.
It looks like Sebastian Delacruz has been cut. Jones closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Delacruz's guard. Jones tries to free his leg and advance position but Delacruz is retaining full guard. Delacruz has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Jones can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Delacruz looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Jones has picked Delacruz up and slammed him! Delacruz can't keep hold of the triangle and Jones manages to pass to side control! Jones working the body and head with strikes. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Jones is maintaining the dominant position - no doubt Delacruz will start to get frustrated soon if he's not already. Delacruz is trying to get back to half guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Jones wants to lay and pray for a moment but Delacruz keeps working. Delacruz gives up the full mount - oops, sloppy defensive grappling there! Delacruz keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.

That's two minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Jones postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Delacruz looks a forlorn figure.
Delacruz is looking to improve his position but Jones isn't that keen on the idea. Jones content just to control the position here. Delacruz keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
Jones lands with some vicious ground and pound - can Delacruz hang on? Jones scoring with strikes but Delacruz is staying in there. Delacruz tries to reverse the position but Jones maintains control.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Jones goes for an armbar but Delacruz turns quickly into his guard - lovely anticipation from Delacruz. Delacruz preventing the sweep. Jones is breathing heavily. Jones scores with a nice shot. Delacruz throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Delacruz wants to control from the top but Jones keeps moving. Delacruz postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Jones looking to hit a scissor sweep but Delacruz is one step ahead there.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Delacruz gets to his feet. Jones looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son! Jones throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Delacruz's waist but Delacruz gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Jones off to one side. Delacruz throws a quick counter kick to the body but Jones avoids it. Delacruz closes the distance and clinches. Jones is trying to break the clinch but Delacruz has him pressed against the cage. Delacruz manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Jones is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions. Sebastian Delacruz overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Jones wants to pass the guard but Delacruz is keeping the position. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
John Jones showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The cut man is working on Sebastian Delacruz's cut. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! This is the final round!

Delacruz takes a shot right to the bread basket. Delacruz tries a head kick but it misses.
Jones throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd. Delacruz looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple. John Jones seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Delacruz moves out of range of the body kick. Delacruz tries to counter by moving into the clinch but Jones manages to circle out of the way. Delacruz tries to clinch but Jones moves out of range. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Jones closes the distance and clinches. Jones tries for a takedown. No joy.

That's one minute gone in the round. Jones tries to land knees in the clinch but Delacruz avoids the damage to the body. Jones has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Delacruz avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch. Jones takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Delacruz successfully pulls guard.
Delacruz lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard. Delacruz throws a big right hand that misses. Delacruz loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Delacruz makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard. Delacruz content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Jones is wriggling around but Delacruz manages to pass to half guard.

He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that. Delacruz wants to lay and pray for a moment but Jones keeps working. Delacruz working Jones over with strikes. Jones keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound. Delacruz is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Jones doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Delacruz. Delacruz throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.
That's three minutes gone in the round. The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Delacruz connects with a nice short shot to Jones's temple. Delacruz looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding. Delacruz slips a nice elbow through Jones's hands, connecting with Jones's forehead. Jones is looking to improve his position.
Jones blocking the ground and pound attempt from Delacruz. Jones is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Delacruz scores with a couple of nice shots. Delacruz thows a huge punch but Jones dodges it nicely.
Delacruz thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Jones's head. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Jones moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard. Jones keeping moving, preventing Delacruz from controlling successfully. Delacruz got a little sloppy there for a moment and Jones has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Delacruz has managed to get both his arms back between Jones's legs - danger averted. Delacruz throws a big elbow that misses. We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace. Delacruz is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact. Delacruz cracks Jones with a solid left hand. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Delacruz lands a couple of elbows. Jones trying to control the position.

And that's the end of the fight! Sebastian Delacruz showed his dominance in that final round. I think Delacruz has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
