The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Fujiati avoids the head kick by Barnett.
Fujiati drops down looking to force a counter takedown but Barnett defends it well.
Barnett has a takedown stuffed.
Fujiati misses with a takedown
and Barnett counters by moving into the clinch.
Fujiati is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Barnett is defending well for now.
Barnett breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

and Fujiati counters with a nice double leg into guard.
Barnett is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Barnett has his foot on Fujiati's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Fujiati works his way back into a safe position though.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Fujiati has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
