And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 18 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Aimo Pamaus!
The judges for this bout are Roosa Järviläinen, Matti Vanhoillinen and Johanna Lukiainen.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pamaus avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
An inside leg kick from October misses.
October backing away here, and Pamaus unleashes a leg kick that just misses.
Pamaus lands a body shot.

October has taken the fight to the clinch.
October misses with a short punch on the inside.
I was talking to October's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight.
October prevents a body shot from Pamaus.
October looking to throw knees to the head but Pamaus is blocking nicely.
Pamaus is trying to break the clinch but October is controlling him.

Pamaus breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
October tries to score with a leg kick but it misses it's target.

October takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.

and Pamaus counters with a lovely straight right hand!
October tries to clinch up but Pamaus circles away and keeps his distance.
Pamaus scores with a decent looking hook.
Pamaus slips a straight right by October.

October throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Pamaus blocks a jab.
And Pamaus responds with a good body kick, but October manages to step out the way in time.
October throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Pamaus slips under a jab.
Pamaus takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
October takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.

October clinches.
October blocks an uppercut.
October using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Pamaus has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.
October with a knee to the head.
October misses with a shot to the kidneys.

Pamaus pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Pamaus uses good head movement to avoid the hook from October.
Pamaus thumps October with a low kick.
Pamaus takes one on the chin but seems OK.


It looks like Aimo Pamaus has been cut.
Pamaus lands an overhand right.

Pamaus misses with an attempted mid kick.
Pamaus scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent.
October wants to clinch up but Pamaus keeps it at a distance.
Pamaus scoring well with a low kick there.
October tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Pamaus fakes a jab and then connects with a hook.
Pamaus throws a lazy head kick
letting October counter with a right hand.
Pamaus swings for the body but October moves out of range.
October throws a body kick that misses.
An inside leg kick from Pamaus misses.
Pamaus looks to land a left hand but October moved out of range nicely.
October tries to counter by moving into the clinch but Pamaus manages to circle out of the way.
Pamaus cracks October with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.
October lands the left hand.


Pamaus is rocked!
October sees an opening and throws a straight punch right through Pamaus's defenses. It connects perfectly with Pamaus's jaw and knocks him out cold! Wow - that's a contender for knockout of the year - absolutely brutal!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:51 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). David October!
David October retains his featherweight title!
