Gattuso kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is WAR-Low Rider. Javier Gattuso has the better chin. The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gattuso lands with a good body shot.
Roads steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Gattuso.
Roads misses with a hook to the body
and Gattuso counters with a slapping leg kick.
Gattuso has been working on his boxing with his coaches at The Warehouse in the buildup to the fight.
Gattuso fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Roads.
Gattuso throws a head kick that misses
and Roads connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Gattuso slips under a jab from Roads.
Roads throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
Roads misses with a hook.
Roads rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Gattuso counters with a series of strikes. Roads will be more careful next time no doubt.
Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Gattuso.

Roads moves forwards but Gattuso connects with a nice, crisp jab.
Roads throws a hook but Gattuso avoids it easily.

Roads moves out of range of the body kick from Gattuso.
Roads looks to throw the jab but Gattuso is out of range.
Gattuso lands a nice looking body shot.
Gattuso throws a hook to the side of Roads's head but Roads sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Roads let fly with a counter punch to the body but it didn't land.

Roads takes a swing at Gattuso's ribcage but misses.

Roads throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Gattuso bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Roads throws a looping overhand right but Gattuso ducks down to avoid it.

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Gattuso lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Roads has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Roads and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.
Gattuso lands a big right hand that sends Roads crashing to the mat! Gattuso stays standing though and waves Roads back to his feet!
Roads scores with the left hand. Gattuso knows he should have avoided that one.
Gattuso lands a big uppercut and Roads crumbles to the floor! The ref thinks about stopping the fight but Roads looks OK. Gattuso waves Roads back to his feet!
Roads is rocked!

Gattuso misses with a kick to the body.
Roads seems to have recovered his senses.
Gattuso keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.

Gattuso drops Roads with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Roads looks back up at him and smiles so Gattuso waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.
Gattuso pivots, looking for a leg kick but Roads is out of range and Gattuso settles back down.
Roads throws a lazy right hand but Gattuso sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
That's three minutes gone in the round.
Gattuso drops Roads with a huge uppercut! Roads drops to the floor like a sack of potatoes. Gattuso is raining down punches and the ref stops the fight! This one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:10 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Javier Gattuso!
During a confident post fight interview, Javier Gattuso thanked all his fans. He seemed very genuine when describing how motivated his fans keep him.
