Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Nick Abbate (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and William Wallace (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Wallace has chosen Bodies by Drowning Pool as his entrance music. Both fighters look pumped up here. Let's hope this is a good fight!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Nick Abbate!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, William Wallace!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, George Francis and Alan Glass.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Abbate tries to clinch there but Wallace circles away.
Abbate looks to land a body kick but Wallace moved away.

Wallace gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Wallace really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Abbate. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Wallace wants to sweep here but Abbate controlling him for the moment.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

Abbate has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Oh Abbate is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!

Abbate is looking for a triangle here but Wallace uses the submission attempt to pass into side control.

Wallace closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.

Abbate had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Wallace is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Abbate Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Wallace's back instead.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. Let's get this one finished - here comes the final round!



Wallace drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
Wallace must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
