Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
47 - 22 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Bunny Anstey! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Butch Larson! The judges for this bout are Elvis Blanc, Yves DeLean and Ian Loll.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Larson lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Anstey circles away quickly and effectively. Larson fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Good leg kick by Anstey there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Anstey fakes a jab and then connects with a hook. Larson bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. Anstey gets back to half guard. Anstey is refusing to be controlled, as Larson sits in half guard. Larson with a momentary lay and pray from half guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Larson wants to lay and pray for a moment but Anstey keeps working. Larson not doing much here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Larson is trying to control. Anstey wants to improve his position but can't escape this time. Larson might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Anstey haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time. The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.
The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity. Larson with a poor takedown and Anstey cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Larson changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Anstey tries to avoid it but Larson manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Anstey to the ground. Anstey escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Bunny Anstey has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Butch Larson. Larson fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Larson has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Larson there as he acknowledges the shot.

Larson is rocked! Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Anstey is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen. Larson is still in real trouble! Can Anstey finish him? Larson seems to have recovered his senses. Larson is trying to maintain the position but Anstey is very close to passing his half guard. The referee calls for the fighters to work.

Larson is looking to reverse the position. Anstey controls the position from side control. Larson tries to get back to half guard but can't. Larson is letting Anstey control him for a moment. Anstey is working Larson over with some ground and pound from side control. You can see the frustration on Larson's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Larson misses with a takedown and Anstey counters with a three punch combo that has Larson backing up. Larson nods at Anstey to acknowledge the strikes. Anstey swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect. Anstey lands a lovely overhand right. Anstey lands a left and a right that sends Larson crashing to the canvas! Anstey dives into mount looking to finish! This has been an exciting period of action! Anstey controlling from the full mount. Larson is trying desperately to improve position. Bunny Anstey overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Anstey looking to control and managing it successfully.

Anstey controlling from the full mount. Larson tries to hold on but Anstey postures up. Anstey takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Larson tries to lock up and control but Anstey gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away. Anstey tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position. Larson can't escape the position.
Anstey is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Larson can do to turn this around? Larson holds on to Anstey around his waist, trying desperately to prevent any attacks. Anstey controlling his opponent.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Anstey has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent. Larson is writhing around trying to get back to his feet. Anstey content just to control the position here. Larson is working to get back to half guard.

Anstey leaves Larson with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. A combination from Larson does no damage. Larson with a lazy takedown attempt and Anstey counters with a straight punch to the midsection. Anstey gets a clinch. Anstey lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage. Anstey landing knees to the body.

Anstey bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Anstey cracks Larson with a hook to the temple - Larson is on wobbly legs here! Anstey swarms him with hook after hook, landing with each one! Larson falls to the canvas face first and the referee dives in to stop the fight! Anstey wins by TKO!
