Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Arturo Rivera (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Foul Play (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rivera comes to the cage accompanied by Do You Call My Name by Ra. Play is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Simon Says-Pharaohe Monche. Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, for the welterweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
6 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Arturo Rivera! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Foul Play! The judges for this bout are Columbo Gatti, Chad Campbell and Reed Andrews.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Rivera shoots in for a takedown and gets it. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Rivera is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Play doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Rivera. Play pushes Rivera off and gets back to his feet. Play keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Rivera fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Rivera uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Play. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Rivera. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Arturo Rivera. That's going to take a lot out of him. Play keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Play fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Rivera, pushing him back against the cage. Play scores with a nice hook to the head. Rivera is breathing heavily. Rivera fails to pull guard.

Play lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of Rivera backwards. Play pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
That's one minute gone in the round. Rivera fails to land the takedown. Rivera checks a low kick from Play. Play throws a leg kick but Rivera sees it coming and checks it nicely. Rivera takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it! Play looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Play lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Rivera circles away quickly and effectively. Play scores with a nice strike. Rivera is holding his hands too far apart here. Play throws a hard, straight punch right down the pipe and BOOM! Rivera is out! That punch landed square on the jaw - what a shot!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:26 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Foul Play! Foul Play is the new welterweight champion!
