Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Terry Contreras (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Parker Kirsten (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Terry Contreras!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Parker Kirsten!
The judges for this bout are Robert Douchet, Dillan Fox and Gregory Folan.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Contreras misses with a double jab
and Kirsten counters with a one-two to the body.
Parker Kirsten seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Contreras feints and as Kirsten raises his hands in defense, Contreras changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Contreras is standing up over Kirsten. Kirsten looks to escape but Contreras dives into side control.

Kirsten is trying to improve his position.
Kirsten is trying to control Contreras's posture but Contreras avoids it.
Contreras misses with the ground and pound.

Contreras throws a knee to the body but it doesn't do much damage.

Kirsten is trying to improve his position.
Contreras creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Kirsten sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike.
Contreras scores with a couple of nice shots to the head there. The referee takes a look at Kirsten to see if he's OK.

Kirsten is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Contreras scores with a couple of nice shots.

The referee calls for the fighters to work.
Kirsten is trying to maintain the position but Contreras is very close to passing his half guard.
Contreras thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Kirsten's head.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Contreras is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound.

Contreras is looking for a kimura but Kirsten is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Contreras to get the leverage.
Kirsten has hold of Contreras's hands but Contreras slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.
Kirsten wants to control but Contreras passes into side.
Kirsten is letting Contreras control him for a moment.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Kirsten is trying to get back to half guard.

Kirsten fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Contreras to the ground. Kirsten is now in Contreras's guard.

Contreras looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.

Contreras manages to create a bit of space in order to work his way back to his feet. Kirsten keeps hold of his opponent and drives him back against the cage.
Kirsten tries to throw a body punch but Contreras avoids it by throwing Kirsten back against the cage.

Contreras jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Kirsten walks away with a smile on his face. Contreras gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

Contreras tries for a takedown. No joy.
Contreras drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Kirsten gets the underhooks and prevents it.
Contreras tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Kirsten avoids it.
Kirsten tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Contreras's elbow.

Kirsten's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

Contreras gets tackled into the cage by Kirsten. Kirsten maintains the clinch.
The pace really dropping off here, momentarily.

Parker Kirsten showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. This is the final round!

Contreras tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Kirsten just stands there and leans against the cage.
Contreras keeps control of Kirsten as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.
Kirsten creates a bit of distance and throws an elbow that only just misses.

Contreras drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Contreras is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.

Kirsten doesn't land with the attempted body shot.

Kirsten pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Kirsten throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Contreras's head.
Kirsten takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

Contreras looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into side control! Oh, that's bad for Kirsten!
Contreras lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Kirsten down.

Kirsten explodes and escapes back to his feet! Nice escape there!

Contreras successfully pulls guard.

Kirsten got a little sloppy there for a moment and Contreras has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Kirsten has managed to get both his arms back between Contreras's legs - danger averted.
Kirsten wants to control from the top but Contreras keeps moving.

Kirsten prevents Contreras from getting back to his feet.
Kirsten controls from within his opponent's guard.
Kirsten is fighting to break Contreras's control of his arms but Contreras is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.

Contreras has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Contreras connects with a leg kick. Kirsten looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it.

Kirsten moves into the clinch.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

Kirsten has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Contreras clear over his head and slammed him to the mat!

Contreras is trying to shake Kirsten off. He's managed it and has hopped back to his feet! Kirsten won't be happy about giving up the dominant position.

And that's the end of the fight!
Terry Contreras showed his dominance in that final round.
I have no idea who won that fight. Let's wait and see whether the judges are as confused as me! Time for a split decision perhaps?!. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
